Why SMH Yaboy? Have we lost him or backed off? Just SMH because he’s really good. If one of the mods could move this to the Looney thread that would be awesome. Thx!

Have Looney indicated when he will announce his choice?

Yeah Looney’s not coming, I think the staff has moved on from him and is onto the Cheatham kid.. This is a good thing, much better shot at landing him than Kevon and IMO Cheatham is being undervalued. Heard the same thing from a well respected source who saw him play recently also and really likes his game.

Yes, it's too bad. But was anyone here thinking this was anything other than the longest of long shots?

Thought we had a legit chance; hate it if he's goes to Quette and have to face him for a year or two. I'm thinking Izzo though. Oh well...

well, the previous list left us off. now the new list leaves Marquette off. Maybe this is more a reflection of whomever is compiling and publishing these lists than anything the kid or his parents actually said?

Sounds like sports talk show info or recruiting guru info. The only legitimate list comes from Looney and family.

From ESPN Insiders -- seems like the train is leaving the station: Kevon Looney | @loon_Rebel5 | Junior Milwaukee Hamilton | PF | 6-8/190 | ESPN 100 Rank: No. 9
Who wants him? Florida, Duke, Michigan State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgetown, Tennessee, Stanford and others
Front-runners: Florida and Duke
Dark horses: Michigan State and Michigan
....
In addition to the teams above, UCLA and UConn are rumored to be working hard to grab his attention. Looney still has a pretty lengthy list but hopes to narrow it down to five by the end of the July recruiting period. Looney weighed in at 180 pounds at this time last year, but has added about 20 pounds of muscle to his frame since then....insider.espn.go.com/college-sports/recruiting/basketball/mens/story/_/id/9359726/cliff-alexander-tyus-jones-other-top-recruiting-battles-2014-class

Would be a nice get but let's move on. Too many other suitors who are seemingly further ahead in the process. We have other priorities. Sorry ID... )

I've 90% moved on friend, but he's gonna be a good one. He looks like an MSU/Delvon Roe kid to me. I respect their program. Anyway, you're correct, there are bigger, easier fish to fry.

www.nbebasketball.com/w3/2013_0617/2013-nbpa-top-100-high-school-basketball-camp-final-recruiting-notes/It was a year ago at the Top 100 Camp where Kevon Looney make a huge splash nationally and he has only cemented his status as an elite recruit in the Class of 2014. The 6-foot-8 power forward out of Milwaukee (WI) expanded a little bit more with NBE on his recruitment from GEORGETOWN and DUKE when we caught up to him this time around in Virginia. “They have a great coach” Looney said of JT III and GEORGETOWN. “I’ve been in contact a little bit and even more since I gave my phone number to him. He came to my school and talked about the offense and told me to watch Otto Porter.” Looney also talked about the Blue Devils and their efforts. “Duke is a great program and a great school,” he said. “I have a pretty good relationship with Coach K and Nate James, there pretty cool coaches. I like Duke a lot.” They are not the only two involved as Looney also mentioned FLORIDA, MICHIGAN, MICHIGAN STATE, TENNESSEE, WISCONSIN, GEORGETOWN, STANFORD, UCLA and UCONN in the mix.
