247sports.com/Article/Nike-EYBL-Hampton-Day-2-Notebook-72074Johnson's AAU and high school teammate, Johnathan Williams III has also played well in Hampton. Through three games, the 6-foot-8 forward has averaged 13.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 blocks per game and seen Michigan State and Alabama both get involved in his recruitment. "They're both pretty good programs," said Williams, who will likely take more college visits in "August or September." As for now, Georgetown could be in solid early position. "Georgetown is a great program," Williams said. "A lot of big time players came out of that school plus my brother [lives] right down the street." Williams' brother, Johnny C. Williams III, plays at George Mason.

nychoops.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1365177“Earlier this spring, Johnathan Williams III looked a bit shaky. Actually, the entire Bluff City Legends team looked shaky as they got off to a poor start through two weekends of EYBL play. In Dallas, the addition of a fiery Todd Day as their coach seemed to make a huge difference. Williams certainly played with more fire than he had previously and was a matchup problem. He got on the glass, ran the floor, converted at a high rate and looked like the highly regarded power forward prospect that he is. Bluff City also got a solid effort out of Nick King who manned up and battled on the glass while also making the jumpers he took."

"Jonathan Williams, 6′-9″, 2013, PF, Southwind (TN): A skilled player with an array of post moves and finesse, Williams could fit at small forward in the right college program. He’s a guy that is fluid, but doesn’t stand out in terms of athletic gifts. Instead, Williams generally makes the right play, and can work within an offense. He occasionally also makes great passes from the post to create easy scoring opportunities. Williams was arguably the most savvy and polished interior player in the event.” hoopniks.com/pangos-all-american-camp-saturday-recap

hoopniks.com/usa-basketball-17u-trials-saturday-recapJohnathan Williams III, 6′-8″, 2013, PF, Southwind (TN): When Williams had his outside shot working, as he did on Saturday, it opens up the rest of his game. His array of post moves was also in gear, but the ability to hit 3-pointers, at times from deep range, was particularly impressive. Outside of Parker, Williams is arguably the most skilled forward competing to make the roster, and he could fill in at the “5″ against international opponents that don’t have a physically strong center. Williams can handle and pass at a high level for his size, and he also exploited mismatches, when given the opportunity.

He is still considered a PF in HS yet has the range to deep 3 already? Can fill in at the 5 against shorter opponents? This kid sounds pretty awesome, although some posters weren't too high on him. Lots of good '13 options.

was listed on Bluff City roster, but didn't see him @ peach jam. I think I remember someone saying he didn't make the trip due to family reasons. Don't quote me though. That said, don't know where a third schollie would come from and if Hoyas land Agau then there's his ship, imo.

The buzz around Jw3 cotinues to swirl. It doesn't appear likely that UK will offer, so that's good news, Georgetown is definitely still in play though. A few people that are usually pretty reliable seem to think if it ended today Jw3 would be a Vol.
Stolen from the Tenn board.. post by one of their “Insider’s”
He has said Tenn will get one of his officials

I would love to see Williams at Georgetown, but at this point he is UTenn to lose. I am surprise that UMemphis is not as active as one would think.

blogs.commercialappeal.com/the_memphis_edge/2012/09/southwinds-williams-iii-takes-more-visits.htmlJohnny Williams said the family was impressed with last week's trip to Georgetown. Williams III is also trying to cement a visit date to Michigan State, with the fifth and final visit still being up in the air. "We believe in trying to meet these coaches to make sure they can listen and communicate with the players," Johnny Williams said. "In the end, we're releasing him to them and we need them in some way to try to understand them. That's what we're looking for; a coach who can listen, communicate, and keep the parents informed." Visiting Mizzou..

While the AD has gotten better at informing fans about what is going on, how are the families of the basketball players kept updated? Do they have a team email? Ideally the players are talking to their parents all the time, but you never know. I'd imagine its pretty good since many families have been mainstays at Hoya games.
