It's not an opinion. It's a fact. You know JT3 will never pull a scholarship like that. I don't want to speak for anyone else, but I don't think anyone is really advocating JTIII just arbitrarily yank Trey's scholarship. I think people are just acknowledging the fact that programs will make room for recruits when there is a scholarship crunch. It's not disrespectful or insulting to Alonzo or Trey to discuss that possibility. We have the same conversation every year. Its never happened and until it does, its a moot discussion.

True. We've always had a scholarship/roster spot available.

as fans and supporters I do think it is disrespectful to suggest that a scholarship should be pulled from a current player for another. now if that is what the coach and parents decide then so be it. but if I were a parent and those outside the program was inferring or suggesting that about my child regardless of my financial situation then I would take that as very bring very disrespectful

What "logic?" I don't think you know the meaning of that word. His logic was that because PE Jr was on scholarship, Trey is on scholarship. The two are entirely unrelated. His logic was that because both were on scholarship at GU, they were both afforded essentially 4 year agreements

Yeah I'd think MSU may be the favorite here. Not overwhelmingly so but still the favorite and that has more to do with needs of Gtown and MSU than anything else.

Liking our chances with Kansas out. No chance Larry Brown will be at SMU the entirety of the next three seasons. Gonzaga's in the middle of nowhere.

Zags have had more success than Hoyas the last few years. And didn't they just pick up that transfer pg we were recruiting?

We have had better success with wings then Gonzaga. They have had some solid guards and now they seem to have a few bigs. If Copeland blows up and Williams is there to fill in the gap left behind, that bodes well and allows this kid to continue in the Jeff Green, Otto Porter path.

I guess we just disagree about what success means - winning a ton of games in the West Coast conference, getting a great ranking/seed and losing on the second weekend of the tourney instead of the first doesn't exactly blow my mind compared to competing in the Big East every year with similar tourney results... I don't want this discussion to turn to this. Another time and place...

At first, I thought he was a luxury but the more I think about it, the more it would be great to get him. We always seem like we are a player leaving early away from doing something great. This would really help alleviate Ike going pro next year (which I think is a pretty good chance). Really goes a long way to ensuring that 2016-17 is a very good year.
