Athletic Director Lee Reed:
"I would like to thank Terri for her many contributions to Georgetown Athletics and to the Georgetown community. Over the course of the past eight seasons, Terri has elevated Georgetown women's basketball to unprecedented heights. Along with President DeGioia and our athletics staff, I thank Terri for her dedicated service to Georgetown and we wish her and her family our very best. She did a remarkable job during her tenure and she will definitely be missed on the Hilltop.
"Finding a new leader for our program is the top priority. We are looking for someone who will embrace the high standards of academic and competitive excellence that defines Georgetown Athletics and Georgetown University.
"Our program has been to the NCAA Tournament the last three years and to the postseason the last four, and with a new training facility for both the men's and women's basketball programs on the horizon, we expect our success in women's basketball to continue."

"I am extremely excited for the opportunity to lead the women's basketball program at Auburn," Williams-Flournoy said in an Auburn release. "I'm very appreciative to President Jay Gogue, Jay Jacobs and Meredith Jenkins for giving me the chance to guide this team and I am looking forward to joining the Auburn family."
Williams-Flournoy has led the Hoyas to three consecutive NCAA tournament appearances, including a 23-9 and second round finish in 2012. Her overall record is 143-104.
At Georgia, she was recruiting coordinator on six consecutive NCAA tournament teams. The Bulldogs also won SEC titles in 1997 and 2000.
"She has an understanding of what it takes to be successful in the Southeastern Conference and brings a tremendous desire to win championships at Auburn," Jacobs said.
Williams-Flournoy is a 1991 graduate of Penn State. She and her husband Eric have an 11-year-old daughter, Maya, and an 8-year-old son, Eric Jr.
Auburn will hold a press conference to formally introduce Williams-Flournoy on Tuesday afternoon.
