Oh my God. Just listening to ESPN and one of the commentators (don't know who he is) said something about this being a game that NC State can win. These guys just can't stop themselves.
Fine. Let's show them again.

Tickets for Sunday - what's the best way to go? Show up and buy from scalper? Do some go on sale tonight / tomorrow? Any advice?

Good. Let them pick NC State. We play better when nobody thinks we're any good.

This is another tough matchup...Leslie playing the best ball of his career, and Brown is a beast....
Have to play a great game to win

Looks like NC State was 0-8 this year against ranked opponents. We should handle these guys.

Let's take care of business here. It's a game we should win. We're more talented and flat-out better than a hot 9-7 ACC team. If Sims is running the offense, Otto is doing the glamorous dirty work, Clark is scoring, and Hollis gets his head out of his ass, we should be in good shape.

Let's not be too overconfident...State is still a good team with really good talent...We just have to play hard and play really well defensively

Great win against Belmont.....just need Hollis to get his stroke back from deep (that long 2 towards the end may be a start?) for Sunday. NC St. has been playing well lately, but it is time for their run to end. GO HOYAS!

How good of a 3pt shooting team are they? They were 3-9 today against SD St and 3-11 against UNC. Our zone D has been outstanding. Leslie is foul prone so I look for Henry/Otto to take it to him and try to park him on the bench. It should be a good game though.

No question Daytona. Virtually every team left is a good team and you have to play good ball to advance. We have to clean up the turnovers and hit the boards.

State shot 65% in the second half against a good San Diego team, and was two bad officials' calls short of advancing to the ACC final last weekend. And speaking of official's calls, expect someone on TV to bring up Chris Corchiani's phantom travel in the 1989 NCAA's.

I haven't watch NC State play this year. What kind of team are they? Perimeter team with good penetraters and shooters? Strong post threat? Physical aggressive suffocating defense? From what I saw of their game today they reminded me a bit of USF but that is only one game. Interesting note is that this will be our first NCAA game against a high-major since we lost to Ohio State in 2007.

CJ Leslie is a guy who could take over. Must contain him, but he cant be the only focus. If Sims gets in foul trouble, that will be a big deal. Very nervous

How similar is this team to last year's NC State team? I know they're sans Ryan Harrow, but it seems to be much the same lineup (I have a vague recollection that Howell may have been injured for the game). Henry had a (till that point) career game, so here's hoping he can do the same.

I'ma be the devil's advocate here. This team isnt the smartest team. They turn the ball over a lot. And watching them blow that game at Duke was epic chokage way worse than anything we have done this year. CJ Leslie is good, but he can't really hit anything outside of 15 ft yet, he is an athletic big who can score off offensive boards. Howell in the low post is who I'm worried more about he can be a load. Wood is a knock down shooter. Brown can get into the lane on anyone but isn't a consistent shooter.
