Congratulations to Jason! He has represented Georgetown extremely well for the last four years. It shows how much respect he gets around the league that he was voted as first team All-Big East and Sportsman of the Year. Sportsman of the Year is a great honor. It ought to be announced on Tuesday along with Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Scholar Athlete of the Year.
I have no problem with Jack Cooley or Henry Sims for most improved player, but as good as Jason was in his first three years, I'd still vote for him as the most improved player based on his team leadership, consistency, defense, ball handling (which, other than on Saturday, has vastly improved), and scoring. I think he has been great at picking his spots all year. I remember, at the beginning of the season when he said that he would need to take on more of the scoring load this year, he was mocked by some Hoyatalk posters for not understanding his proper role. He did become more of a scorer, but he did it wisely and opportunistically. I rarely found myself thinking that he took an ill-advised shot or that he was trying to do too much.
I'm looking forward to watching him continue his great play for the next several weeks!

Nothing like having Villanova, Providence and Pitt as your mirror schools (14-40 in the conference).
(Before anyone looks it up, the Hoyas had a nice 24-30, But that's not nearly 14-40).

I don't recall that we did so well against Pitt. We had just better do better tomorrow. Who would have thought that having Pitt and Nova as mirror schools would be a break (although, playing Pitt wasn't exactly a break for us).
