Generally, I think teams should stick to their school colors. Of course, Georgetown sometimes wears the black uniforms (they haven't worn it this year), and has worn lighter shades of blue in the past, as well.

I think teams which have, in their lockers, arguably neutral colored uniforms should be required to declare them Home or Away colors. The practice of wearing the same color (Marquette- Light Blue, Michigan-"Maize, Illinois- Orange, West Virginia-Yellow) for both home and away games shoukld be verboten.

PS: Was talking to my friend from 'cuse (i'll reluctantly admit I have one or two) and he said everyone there absolutely hates this grey uni idea.

It's an article about the new gray Jersey fad sweeping college basketball. I've definitely noticed this and Do not like other teams wearing our primary color. Clearly they're just trying to copy our popularity.

but some good pub as they mention us as 1 of the 4 teams that looks good in gray, but I wish they had noted that we always were gray as it's one of our school colors.

Also I like the link from cbs that lead me to the article which read:
"In my opinion, any gray jerseys that don't have GEORGETOWN across the front can find a bottomless hamper."

Obviously Hoyas is acceptable too

Schools with one color need a background color to set it against... not that much works with orange. Can't say it would bother me, though I'm amused at the reaction of cuse fans.

Did anyone see the Penn State-Illinois game? I took one look at the Penn State gray uniforms and figured it might be a Georgetown-Illinois game on ESPN Classic from 2006.

This is getting ridiculous. I had noticed more and more teams were wearing them in the past: WV and Uconn have worn some grays the last couple of years, but now it seems like 1/4 of the teams have worn a gray alternate this year. I know imitation is the sincerest form of flattery but I liked that we had our own thing.
