Kid looks like he has a nice stroke. 81% from 3 (25 out of the 31 visible shots) from all the angles is pretty amazing, even if it's practice! I had to go back and count them. A slasher with that kind of shot will have fun in our offense.

I thought about counting the 3s. Thanks for taking the initiative.

Those set shot 3 pointers in the Peak video where he literally has no lift or pressure mean nothing.
One question I have for folks in the know:
As between Dion Wiley, Dwayne Morgan, Phil Booth, and LJ Peak, how do you rank the SG recruits we were intimately involved with and had a chance?

Those set shot 3 pointers in the Peak video where he literally has no lift or pressure mean nothing. I respectfully disagree. In our offense, he'll get a ton of those. I'm thinking Wallace all the way to Otto. They've all shot a lot with their feet set, alone and time to spare. Also, he'll come in to a team with good perimeter shooters in DSR, Cameron, Copeland, Domingo (still to see it) and Whitt. The defense will need to pick its poison. Finally, the fact that he is athletic and likes to take it to the basket will only help his perimeter set shot. On a team with such talent from the perimeter, the question mark will be inside: How good will our C(s) be in one-on-one situations? Who will be that player to complete the team and 5-on-5 offense?

Dwayne Morgan is a SF.. All have strength and weaknesses, Wiley is the best shooter of the bunch by far but also the least athletic and worst defender. Phil Booth probably has the most balanced game but measured at 6’2 at LBJ in shoes and upside is a question. Peak is the most athletic and has the most upside at 6’5. the least accurate shooter of the bunch, but best at getting to the rim. Who be becomes the best depends on who works the hardest but IMO Peak has the most upside for the position, if he can get his shot in order.. Pretty evident that he’s a pretty tough kid also, brings that attitude and toughness with him..

Hard to rank them because they all were so different. Wiley had the best overall skills but his desire and motor and attention to defense were questionable. He will be as good as he really wants to be. Booth is a nice all around player but nothing wowed you either. Peak is very athletic and gives 100% all the time but not the shooter the others are. I tend to think Peak is the best fit for us now because we have enough players that have challenges on defense and I'd prefer to bring energy and toughness to the projected roster. However, if you were starting from scratch with all new players, I'd take Wiley first and then it would be a toss-up between Peak and Booth.

The one thing that we can definitely say about III developing players, is their jumpshots consistently improve. (looking for Jabril to become even more consistent/confident with his shot this year...but I digress). I would much rather have a kid that goes 100% all the time and is athletic without a great jumpshot (his form isn't bad there's a base to work with for sure). Those are the kids that are going to work to improve and also the kids that do all the dirty work that you really need to win. You need a good combination of the specialists and the jack of all trades to be truly successful. As we saw this year Markel was the one player who could consistently get to the tin and finish, and when our shots aren't falling and we're in dog fight, we need that wrinkle

IMO, Peak does play similarly to Jabril but is not as physically strong. He actually reminds me of a cross between Jabril and Bowen with a more consistent shot than either.

Ryan James @ryanjamesmn 51m CP3 up 51-26 on Travelers at half. LJ Peak constantly on the move, has 16. Nate Mason has attacked gaps on bad rotations for 17. #PEACHJAM
Ryan James @ryanjamesmn 1h CP3 37 Travelers 13. LJ Peak just jumped a pass for his 4th open floor score. CP3's D has the floor covered in all directions #PEACHJAM
Ryan James @ryanjamesmn 1h LJ Peak scored 10 of CP3's first 12, Nate Mason went on a run of 8 himself, Cp3 up 20-9 on Travelers (Ky) #PEACHJAM
