Not sure why posters are jumping on Yaboy for making a simple observation about Cameron. I didn't think he was discounting or downplaying Cameron's ability to contribute, just being honest about his serious limitations on the defensive end. Even watching through blue and gray colored glasses, most fans can see that Cameron is very slow and unathletic, and couldn't stay in front of anyone on defense. Having watched a couple of his HS games, he had the same defensive problems in HS. Even JTIII has publicly commented on his defensive struggles. That being said, I love having a 6'7" three point shooter on the team and think he's going to be a very valuable 4 year contributor. I think he will be most effective if he's surrounded by 4 other long athletic players on the court. Yeah, as I've been saying I think Cameron will be a good player. He has good instincts; he knows how to position himself and can be a good, not great, defensive player. He'll get there and i don't think he was a big liability last year except he didn't shoot very well. Reminds me a little of Paul Pierce. I'm in no way saying he'll be that good tho.

Purplefilms, I have to disagree. I think Reggie will be very good. He really was not bad at all last year. I think many of us seem to forget he was just a freshman. He's definitely got the stroke. What's interesting is that Reggie knows what Reggie needs to do to improve. He said it himself. He needs to be more aggressive on both ends. Another thing he has going for him is height. He will be just fine. Finally, he is a fairly good ball handler.

I just think you're selling them short, that's all. But that's just what I think, don't get mad at me for disagreeing with you. You still continue to (conveniently?) ignore all the other variables in the equation. Mad? Not even bro.. You might be right I might be right matters little to me. I just don’t appreciate being told to shut up. Feel free to disagree with me whenever you want after all it’s a message board. As for the other parts of your argument. No I’m not, but it doesn’t matter if you score on one end if you give it right back on the other…. Putting Reggie in the game doesn’t stop teams from doubling off Mikael or Tray as they did last year and it totally ignores the fact that IKE and Paul are both good enough shooters to keep teams honest. Separate argument, but I do not think teams will be able to double off of Jabril next year. He has improved his stroke from bad as a Freshman at 24% to a half way decent 31% last year. And just looking post injury he was 13/34 or 38%. If he can even get close to those numbers as a senior year they will not be able to sag off of him.

Great assessment of of LJ and what he can mean to this Hoya club.
"He's a hell of a player," Creek said. "Very crafty. Gets to the rim very well. He's very athletic. Caught me one time. He's a good player. He's a pro. Georgetown should be glad they got him because he'll make a difference."

I don't know what our final record will be or how far we'll go, but I do know one thing....we'll be a lot more exciting to watch this year than last year! On a side note, was driving through the Gaffney area last weekend on a work assignment....at first glance it doesn't really seem like a basketball hotbed. Nice people though.

In looking at LJ's twitter feed, it seems like he's just learned that he's having a baby boy?
Congrats? I guess? Man, I'm glad I didn't have kids until much later in life than him, but anyway God bless and hope it turns out OK.

I saw this but not sure about putting his personal bizz out there. A pretty silly thought in hindsight considering he’s been tweeting about it for a couple of days. haha
Either way Congrats. He seems happy

I guess he was able to fit a lot in while visiting home for Christmas before the Indiana game...

Congrats!!
Life just got a lot more serious for him. Expect an early departure at some point. Dwayne Wade style?

I'd be more concerned about a Marc Egerson like transfer, to be closer to home.

I never quite believed the" transferring to lead Gaffney high" story. Now it all makes sense. Miss Jackson is "fine"!
