With 9 minutes left in the second quarter, the score was Lakers 37, Trailblazers 7. Looks like Providence's offensive philosophy is spreading!

Martel Webster. And yet, somehow, he's still better than Wesley Johnson. I think Georgetown's wings might be better right now than the Wolves wings

Carmelo is bad for any team who wants ball movement and offensive flow. And if he's not scoring-might as well sit him because he's non factor on defense and cannot impact a game without scoring.
As for Lin-I'm tired of the uninformed media always using the "How valuable are scouts if they didn't see this guy?", and I simply don't get how somewhat intelligent people can't figure out--the SCOUTS were/are the reason the kid was/is in the NBA. The coaches chose to not play him or he didn't fit what they did--so wouldn't that be a player personnel decision as opposed to scouting? How hard is that to figure out? He was on rosters--so some scouts recommended the kid--can't put him on court for the "genius" coaches.

RDF, Every NBA team needs a big time scorer. True--but if you are going to commit to Mike D'Antoni, then you realize his style of play--scoring won't be a problem. Guys will average more points and elevate their scoring due to the freedom the offensive system provides. It's why marginal role players became stars in Phoenix around Nash--and why Nash won MVP's despite fact the team he left improved without him. Melo is a ball stopper. The way he scores--isn't what works in D'Antoni's system--but he's a name and has star appeal--especially in NYC. I wouldn't want Carmelo Anthony at all if I were in charge--but at least he does 1 thing well in his career--beat Lebron James teams. If he can continue that trend and especially in Postseason-then he'll be more then worth it. Just dont' see this ending well now that Knicks have a PG who plays in a manner that D'Antoni prefers. Also--anyone catch what Charles Oakley had to say about KG? ;D Needless to say--welcome to the party pal!

KG is a "fake tough guy" and complimentary player who had to go to Paul Pierce's team to win a ring because he couldn't carry a franchise. Said he's overrated in how he's viewed as a "tough player". Sound familiar? ;D

A new entry to my list of things I thought I would never see - Kobe and Pau missing six consecutive free throws down the stretch with the game on the line. Add to that Kobe shooting 4-15 with seven turnovers, the Lakers giving up 21 offensive rebounds to the Mavs - and somehow, the Lakers still won the game. Kobe has a total of 17 turnovers in the last two Laker road games.

Sometimes this politically correct nonsense works on my nerves. Agreed, plus ice cream with honey swirls and fortune cookies sounds much better then ice cream with honey swirls and waffle cone pieces. ;D

Any chance the Knicks give Ewing a look (after the season of course)?

Tom Thibodeau's habit of playing his starters too much finally comes back to bite the Bulls in the worst way possible.

I mean what if these injuries persist and he never reaches his full potential? The guy can't stay on the court. He needs to develop a pull-up jump shot and stop driving to the hole. Iverson could handle the beating, Rose obviously can't.
