Did you "like" your own post? hm It's the old miss the layup on purpose so you can rack up offensive rebounds trick.

How Henry Sims hasn't been called up yet is a wonder to me. Everything I've seen from him in the NBDL is his game looking so smooth and polished. He is so skilled that some team in the league could use him as at least a backup big man. He averaged 9 points and almost 6 rebounds a game in unsteady minutes last season in the Association. Yes I know it was on the 76ers who were trying hard not to win but they play a Big Boy schedule against the best players in the world.
Does anyone know if the Phoenix Suns still have his rights from the pre season or was he completely released and free to sign with any team. If Ryan Hollins can be called up by 2 teams and still be in the league then Big Henry Sims should have at least a decade playing in the league in a contributing role of some kind. By the way that was a nasty dunk. Don't remember Sims doing that while he was in his Hoyas uniform.

Check my previous post regarding Jeff Green, I have been begging for Jeff Green to be traded to the Clippers. I've said on this board plenty of times that this is the perfect scenario for both teams and Jeff Green needed to play in an uptempo system with a point guard like Chris Paul. Green is Lamborghini or Porshe and the Grizzlies were a school zone. It just never made sense. I was already a Clippers fan to begin. I watch more college basketball then I do NBA but when I do watch NBA the Clippers is the team I enjoy watching the most and now with JG on their roster....HERE WE GOOOO!
From what I have read, the trade particulars are Jeff Green for Lance Stephenson and a 2019 protected 1st Round Pick. Memphis absolutely wanted the 1st round pick and Memphis has a team option on Stepenson for next year so they could let him go into free agency after this season.
Have to believe that Green told them he wasn't resigning in the offseason and Marc Gasol's injury is worse then reported for them to pull the plug on the season and get the best deal they could for Green. Also with Green being a free agent, he could somewhat control where he wanted to go by having David Falk work behind the scenes telling teams that Green wasn't going to sign long term with them and that they would essentially get a rental player thus minimizing how much teams would give up to get Green leaving Memphis with very few teams to work with. I would imagine and this is speculation that Jeff Green and Falk's list was the Clippers and possibly the Wizards with his preference being the Clippers. I can't think of any other teams he would consider. The Clippers had a gaping hole at the SF position and will be able to play the PF when they play small ball. Green has played a season under Coach Rivers and had his best playoff series averaging about 20 points a game during that his first healthy full season with the Celtics. Green is running out of excuses. Here is his chance to be the player he has always been capable of. NO MORE EXCUSES!!!

Time for us to become Clippers fans...Jeff Green just got traded there. Can't believe Memphis gave him up for Lance Stephenson/ This is great for Jeff. With OKC, Jeff was mostly playing out of position, as he really does not rebound well enough to be a 4 and the 3 was taken by a guy named Durant. And even though OKC was a running team, Russell Westbrook absolutely refused to pass Jeff the ball. The best he has ever played was when he was playing for Doc Rivers as a 3 in Boston. Even though the Celtics were not really a running team, he had a point guard in Rondo who could get him the ball in space. Once Doc left (and Pierce and Garnett) Jeff was asked to be the #1 scoring option, and he really is not that player. His three point shot distribution changed from the corners - where he is a good shooter - to the elbows extended where he struggled. In Memphis, while he has had a recent resurgence, the middle has generally been very crowded which takes away from his best strength which is to drive against overmatched smaller 3s. He will love playing with the Clippers. They run more than any team he has played with and Chris Paul is about the best guard in basketball at finding players on the break. The other 3's are Wes Johnson and Paul Pierce (and formerly Lance Stephenson) so there will be a lot of playing time available. No excuses any more.

Finally, some happy basketball news in this bleak season. I will always be a Laker fan first and foremost, but I've been hoping that somehow Jeff would find his way to the Clippers ever since Doc became the coach. No more excuses for sure. This is the perfect situation for him, even if he is ultimately the 3rd/4th option. Chris will find him, and he'll get plenty of open looks.

Yeah, Jeff seems to be a nice fit for the Clippers. Plus, he and Roy can have lunch occasionally, as they're playing in the same building.
The one thing I worry about with the Clips is Jeff deferring too much to the established guys, but Blake Griffin is out for awhile so he may get himself acclimated more quickly as a result. Plus, I think Doc instills him with confidence and encourages him to play his game and be aggressive from the jump. Looking forward to watching!

"Beyond his connections with Rivers and Crawford, Green played with Paul Pierce in Boston. Prior to that, he played with Cole Aldrich in Oklahoma City. He’s also a member of Team Jordan, along with Chris Paul and Blake Griffin.
“I was with Blake last summer a little bit,” Green said. “And CP, we did Basketball Without Borders in Africa. I got a chance to be with him and his family… So I know a lot of guys. I think coming into this situation, it’ll be even easier knowing the relationships I’ve had with some of the guys.”
With those relationships and the talent around him, Green, who becomes a free agent this summer, said he “most definitely” sees himself as a Clipper past this season. But before that can happen, he needs to adjust to the present."

Greg will never be accused of not being offensively productive. The problem is his defense. While not bad, he's not a difference maker on that end, and his and his teammates struggles on that have been a big difference in the Bucks regression from the dominant Defense of last year that resulted in wins. I suspect this has some bearing on his trade availability. That being said, his offense had been really good this year. And there are some all stars with bad defense - see Drummond- so I suspect Greg may have one in his pocket in the coming years. Anyone have a clue what is going on with Greg? Why is he not starting. Is it really as simple as his D? Makes zero sense to me.

Jeff had 18 and 5 in just 24 minutes against the Suns last night. Looks like he might fit in just fine.
