Dunno why everyone is raggin on me about what others said about Oubre - I am not the GM who picked him, nor am I the scouts that ranked him that high and projected him to be a superstar. But if he does turn out to be someone who averages 25 pts + with those intangibles listed above, I could definitely see him sellin a lot of tickets and jerseys. You realize that only three players averaged 25+ this year? want me to make it 23+? 22+? 21+? if thats make a huge difference then, i will thingy is we have never seen this kid play in the NBA yet. if i need to bet, i will probably bet that he will be a bust as well. but then again, a lot of ppl on this board said the same thing about stephen curry, how he was too skinny and not athletic to succeed in the NBA. curry and oubre are completely different cases, but my point is, we never know how successful the kid will be until he is actually playing in the NBA for a few seasons.

Wizards looking to get Jared Dudley... Clearly not showing full faith in Otto. SMH... I see this more as Martell Webster insurance. Dudley in the NBA is a spot up 3 point guy.

Miami Heat has released its summer league roster. The Hoyas are well represented as both Greg Whittington and Joshua Smith are listed.

Pretty sure they view Dudley as primarily a stretch 4 at this point in his career. Might play a little 3, which i fine. Otto has played some 2 for the Wiz, as well, for short stretches. If he performs as he did in the playoffs, he will get 35 minutes a game. . Otto is absolutely going into the season as the starter at SF.

Summer League games are televised on NBA TV. Trawick is a member of Orlando Blue. Heat (Joshua Smith and Greg Whittington) are on at 9am today and Orlando blue on at 1pm

There's a free trial so you can watch today's games if you want to see the guys in action.
Greg and Josh aren't having great games. Greg's shot is way way off. He hasn't been close on any of his 4 shots. Josh doing a bit better 1-2 from the field, 2 offensive rebounds and dominating Onuaku on both ends. But neither impressing.

Greg Much improved in the 2nd half. Has had two steals for lay ups, but will still need to be able to knock down some from long distance if he's to make it as a 3 and D guy.

I thought Greg's defense looked very good in the second half. I forgot how talented he truly is. If he can get his shot down he could make some money somewhere for a long time.

Final Stats:
Greg: 20:32 minutes 4 points, 2-7 from the field (0-2 from 3, 0-5 on jumpers) 4 rebounds(2 on each end), 3 steals, 3 assists, 1 block, 2 turnovers, 5 fouls(They get 10), +15 (3rd highest mark on the team)
Josh: 13:56 minutes 4 points 2-3 from the field, 0-1 from the FT line, 3 rebounds(all offensive), 1 assist, 2 turnovers, 4 fouls, +19 2nd highest on the team.
For Indiana Myles Turner was impressive. Trent Lockett who played a year at Marquette after transferring from AZ st also looked good. Matt Stainbrook plays for Indiana but was a DNP Coaches decision.
So I think the biggest take away was that both Greg and Josh were in the rotation, so clearly teams want to see what they can do. Neither was super impressive. Greg played solid D but was way way off on all of his jumpers. Josh did well handled Onuaku from Cuse and wasn't abused on Pick and rolls as much as I expected. Showed potential, but still needs to shed weight and put forth more effort at times.

Nice to see them in action again. But let's be honest. Neither one is an NBA caliber player.

Unfortunately Jabril got no run for Orlando in the first half. Hopefully he gets off the bench, but based on his placement in the box score at the very bottom it doesn't look like he's expected to see any time, which would be a real shame.
