Anybody who writes that he "could dunk as an adolescent" clearly didn't see him suit up his freshman year...

Who wants to bet that if Otto has a break out season, the mainstream narrative will be about him finally shedding all the slow-paced nonsense he was coached at Georgetown, and not the fact that he was injured and playing behind Ariza and Webster his first season?

I have heard the injury/ webster and ariza narrative on a regular basis, since Otto began killing it in Summer League. Because people are beginning to see how his strengths are his fundementals, playings angles, moving without the ball, high IQ...I think there will be much more positives for his Hoya experience than negative. However, you may recall Otto was quoted, possibly in the WaPo last year, that in the NBA he had to "get used to running up and down the court all the time, unlike in college." (paraphrasing).

I so wish I was watching any of those other games as opposed to the crap show that is the Knicks. I may officially have given up on them. I just can't take it any longer. Watching the Melo show here and there over the past couple of seasons was bad enough. Watching Melo try to get others involved is beyond horrible. I've always tried to be a name on the front of the jersey and not the back type of fan but, man, does he make it difficult.

I hope that his vision issues emerged only recently and that the staff didn't miss it. No reason to think he was having any trouble seeing while he was with the Hoyas, but it is interesting that he suddenly needs goggles, especially given our history with players losing contact lenses on a very regular basis.

Greg has been suspended for the first two games of the season because of his drinking and driving incident. That ruling came down over a month ago.

He really does little things that help the team. He made every kind of shot last night. Miami won off of pure energy and a couple defensive lapses by the Wiz.

Otto missed a wide open three of a good feed by Wall by a lot -- missed the rim-- with just a few minutes left to play. Wittman pulled him shortly after and put in Pierce. I turned back to the World Series for a moment and when I cam back to the Wizards game they were down by 10 points. They put Otto back in for a spell but there was no time left to make up the difference. He is definitely finding his groove out there and helps on defense and boards. The clutch threes need to come to cement his role.

Otto hit two very clutch two's in a row to narrow the gap...but did airball a three. I think he had played since 4 minutes were left in the 3rd qtr and was not removed until about 3 minutes in the game. They actually put in Temple (Pierce was in already) for Otto. He was playing some two guard, yesterday, with Beall , Glenn Rice and Webster injured. He did a very good job staying in front of Chalmers.

As a Wiz fan, it's been nice to see how quickly the fanbase has turned in favor of Otto. Had a career high last night, and I fully expected him to need a few games to get comfortable.
