Jeff with a Grizzlies leading 16 tonight as the Grizzly beat the Knicks. This is the fifth straight game that he has led the team in scoring off of the bench. The last player to have led for four games in a row off the bench was Dan Majerle 20 years ago. It will be interesting to see how far back the folks at Elias have to go to find five in a row.

Is next year the last one in Otto's rookie deal? Would like to see him move on if Leonsis can't get over his Grunfeld/Wittman crush. The Wizards aren't going anywhere with the current arrangement -- Wall doesn't guard anybody and shoots too much, Beal can't stay healthy, and the big guys have hit their ceiling and move like Stonehenge. And I can't believe Randy's constant finger pointing at the players has helped him in the locker room. Wall is the only thing keeping the team afloat. Saying he doesn't guard anyone is so wrong. He is a wonderful player. Otto's role isn't going to be much different elsewhere.

Monroe comes off the bench and abuses the Celtics for 29, 12 and 3 in a 112-111 win.

Monroe on trading block but destroyed the Celtics.
Nice to see a Hoya shine. Hoyas in NBA have been either underperforming / not appreciated lately it seems...
Otto will see a lot more time as stretch 4, says Wittman, and they expect some big games from him.

Milwaukee's struggles this year are not Monroe's fault as he has been their best and most consistent player so far this season. You can pencil him in for 17 & 10 every night. The rest of the roster starting in the backcourt has been their issues.

Is Greg really on the trading block? Sheesh. Bucks signed him to a huge deal, too.
Jeff has really been playing well for the Grizz. He's been a big reason behind their recent surge.

Jeff still disappears some games and even though he is by today's standards a relative cheap $9mm you still expect more from him. But as a bench player, he's been ok and can carry an offense some nights.
Greg will never be accused of not being offensively productive. The problem is his defense. While not bad, he's not a difference maker on that end, and his and his teammates struggles on that have been a big difference in the Bucks regression from the dominant Defense of last year that resulted in wins. I suspect this has some bearing on his trade availability. That being said, his offense had been really good this year. And there are some all stars with bad defense - see Drummond- so I suspect Greg may have one in his pocket in the coming years.
