Excited to watch some Hoyas in new places this year. Greg and Henry are in good situations, Otto can build off of his great playoff run, and what a kick it would be if Josh Smith began an NBA career in earnest.

Such a shame he wouldn't commit himself like that in college - he wouldn't be working on a training camp contract. If only Josh had been as committed to healthy eating and living as all the other undergrads...

I hope Henry makes the Suns. He isn't on a guaranteed contract.

Can we just start a list of people that are going to bitch about Joshua being in better shape in the NBA than at GU. It would save a lot of time and we wouldn't need post after post saying the same thing.
Also, everyone understands that 99.9% of NBA players are in better shape after college than during, yes?

OMG! If only Joshua had spent as much time in college worrying about styling his hair as he appears to be doing now!

Not quite done--one more comment as part of getting closure. Lot's of reasons to criticize Josh Smith but finally starting to get into shape and hopefully becoming more mature about his life and future is certainly not one of them. He was a gamble by the coaching staff that did not work out as everyone hoped. He did not evidence the dedication to getting in shape during his time at UCLA or the Hilltop. He also did not get it done in the classroom during his time at Georgetown and apparently he was gone the minute the season was over, not appearing at any team function thereafter or graduation. Hope that his future is bright, but certainly will not remember him in the same way as Jabril, Hopkins or Bowen.

Is he more willing to rebound and mix it up now? Melo will be doing the shooting and someone needs to rebound.

Rooting very hard for DaJuan. He was an extremely important (and overlooked, imo) piece of the final 4 team.

Ray will fit right in on the Lakers if he continues to have unremarkable offensive nights like he did in Hawaii last night - 21 minutes, 5 pts. Ten boards is nice. Team shot 28% and Roy matched Kobe in going 1-5. espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=400830086Hopefully brighter days lie ahead.

Greg W. also had a poor start to the exhibition season - no points on 0-3 shooting (0-1 from 3) and a -10 rating.

He works super hard in the offseason with folks like Tim Duncan, is in excellent shape and has all of the necessary shots around the basket. Nonetheless, he shoots a very low pct for a 7 footer shooting close in shots.
