Man Greg is putting on a show to give Detroit their 7th straight win and back to back wins on the road versus the Spurs and Mavericks. Right now 26 pts 18 rebs 6 ast. Greg a little more comfortable with Josh Smith out of the picture?

As a Pistons fan I never understood the JSmith signing. Out of all of the bad decisions by Dumars, it was by far the worst. For 1, you can't have both BJennings and JSmith in your starting lineup because they both are blackholes, dominate the ball and take horrible shots. 2nd, pretty much the entire squad is young and and just starting their careers and JSmith is not the vet that you want leading that group.
The move was worse than drafting Darko over Melo, Wade or Bosh.......imo

Boston stuck by Jeff through his heart surgery and recovery. I am not surprised he is very loyal to the organization.

I think in Jeff's case, it's more than the typical canned response by a pro athlete regarding his future with his current organization.

Trade is a done deal as Jeff is not playing tonight for the Celts. Apparently it's him for Tayshaun Prince.

Celts celebrate the 3rd anniversary of Jeff's heart surgery by trading him away.
Here's hoping this is the beginning of a decade of John Y. Brown level success in Boston - they deserve it.
Silver lining for Jeff is he goes to a team with a legit shot.

Knock 'em dead Jeff. Hope he can become the consistent star he hinted at in Seattle/OKC.

Should be a really good situation for Jeff. Lots of solid players on Memphis. Some real pros.

Love this.
Gary Washburn: Also Green just fielded call from Roy Hibbert asking about trade:"Roy why are you calling me? I'm in the locker room next to you." #Celtics Twitter @gwashburnglobe

Dan, I'm very sorry for your loss. LOL Despite living in Boston since 1988, I have never been a big Celtics fan nor a fan of the NBA in general. I had interest when they signed Jeff, now I have none. I do feel bad for Jeff as I know he feels very loyal to the franchise for their support of him through his medical issues, but the stark reality is that it's a business. He has a far better chance at a NBA championship in Memphis than he would have had here over the next 5 years. This deal is good for me in that there will be zero temptation to waste time watching local NBA broadcasts. It's almost as if the Celtics are back to the good old days ... perhaps they should bring this guy back:

Regardless of public statements, neither Rondo nor Green deserved to spend their prime on this lost cause of a team. As a Celtics fan (and of course Hoya fan), happy Green can be an integral part of a contender rather than the best player on an irrelevant team.

Do not disagree re: Green and I am also happy for him. Ainge has mishandled personnel decisions for the past few years and Green has unjustifiably been vilified by the media here for the trade that Ainge made to bring him here. Was not a Celtics fan before they re acquired Green but was interested when they did.

I was hoping that Green would land in Detroit or Washington. I used to be a die-hard Pistons fan back in the day with Isaiah, Dumars, Vinnie Johnson and Lambier. Not to forget Rodman.
