Both point guards he plays with (miller and wall) have a fair amount of shoot-first mentality in them. Are you sure you have the right team?? stats.nba.com/team/#!/1610612764/players/usage/ I'll admit that my take on Miller is observational and not backed up by the stats, where he is only taking 14% of the shots. But John Wall is using 27.9% of the possessions while on the court and 26.4% of the shots, which would be considered a reasonably high percentage (if not overly selfish by the team's best player). I think the disconnect between stats and observation is that I'm only watching when Otto is on the floor. When Miller plays with the starters, he distributes; when he plays with the bench, he either posts up, drives for a layup, or feeds Seraphin in the post. Otto just ends up looking extraneous with a couple of touches while well guarded on the perimeter to reverse the ball. John is a great assist man, but in the halfcourt he really likes to hit folks for the kickout. He has his favorites for this and Otto is not one--which is fair given that Otto has just recently added NBA 3 range.

In his fist game, Chris scored 10 pts, going 4-4 from the floor, and dished out 7 assists in 15 mins. Wait - Esherick is coaching in the NBDL??

Never before in a season of Georgetown basketball have there been so many references to women's shoes.

I think Wall and Miller are two of the more pass first pg's in the league...take a look at D Rose, Westbrook, Kyrie IRving, Lilliard, etc. I agree, Otto does not get as many passes/opportunities as we Hoya fans would like, but some of it is on him, as well. He is still very much in deferential mode, even though he is gaining confidence with his increased playing time, and the efficiency you pointed out in an earlier post. And i do agree that his cuts down the lane are not as rewarded in the Wiz offense as in college. However...that is also the nature of the pro game. So...I really think Otto has to get more of a gunner mindset, if he is to ever average in double figures. I do not see the offense ever revolving around him.

Henry Sims with 10, and Hollis Thompson with 3. . .but the big story is 76ers 85, Timberwolves 77. Philly's first win of the season after 17 losses to start the year.

It's too bad coach couldn't figure out a way to play Green, Monroe, and Hibbert together, but I guess spacing would have been challenging. Also, eligibility.

Look, if a basketball team is willing to play Josh Smith, Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond together, JT3 should have been able to figure out how to play Hibbert, Green and Monroe together, spacing and eligibility be damned. Of course, JT3 is way too stubborn and wouldn't adjust his Princetown offense to figure out how to solve the spacing/eligibility issues and capitalize on his talent.

I always thought we should have tried a rotation consisting of: PG - Jeff Green SG - Greg Monroe SF - Julian Vaughn PF - Vernon Macklin C - Roy Hibbert Coming off the bench, in this order: Henry Sims, Joshua Smith, and Alonzo Mourning All offense to occur within 16 inches of the rim, and all players to foul out before the second TV break.

That's just a stupid lineup. You should have Hopkins at power forward--that's his natural position.

Plus, we all know JTIII never plays freshman, so Hibbert would've never seen the floor.

Why would he have a problem playing Roy Hibbert as a freshman?
