Kid is a very good student apparently - gave serious consideration to Harvard out of HS. Which begs the question of why he would go to Washington (fine school, not Harvard). And it would REALLY beg the question of why he would go to UNLV. You can make a mint card counting at those casinos. Fair. UNLV's card counting program is second only to MIT's.

From the Providence board: "I am very close friends with Andre Goss ,his brother. Spoke with him earlier and said he's leaning towards UNLV but GTOWN also intrigued him. Providence was on the lower end of interest in regards to teams that have contacted him." He went to prep school in Las Vegas, and at one time had committed to UNLV. Not a big stretch to see them on the list and for him to consider "going home". Also, from what I read, he is far more concerned about the NBA than a future MBA. Not suggesting he couldn't earn one easily, but the lure of a future in the league is intriguing to all these guys, especially Mickey D AAs. Nonetheless, of course it would be great if we can win him over and get him to leave Washington for Washington DC.

Saw something on twitter from Hoya 247 about a transfer point guard visiting. Has to be him or Collins. Anyone have any other info? A visit from him would go a long way to getting him!

Unlv is also a place where talented kids go and have their dreams die, hopefully he makes the smart choice.

Casual has him visiting. EDIT: Date is still uncertain. I am little shocked that there isn't more chatter here. This would be huge.

I heard Jerome wasn't particularly close to JT3 and program - not anti or anything, just not close. And that was a couple of years ago when he had Nigel. hmmmm... just wondering. At least they can now show recruits the actual construction going on for the new athletic center. No just rumors, plans, blueprints and blue skies... real bulldozer and construction vehicles. Well, we can dream can't we. And he can come in and hopefully play a bit with the team so he can see for himself just how good everyone is. And there is plenty of time available for an experienced, All Pac 12 caliber PG.

To tell you the truth Sirsaxa, I am not sure what role Jerome has played and to what extent the staff relies on him. But yes, this would be a huge get and NWG would get the type of exposure at Georgetown that he never had in the Pac 12....(ie...playing at MSG several times a year, playing an occ schedule that will include Uconn, Kansas, and syracuse all in one year, playing in Maui, etc, etc.).

A lot of kids say academics are a priority and then end up committing to Syracuse/Maryland/Kentucky, etc...

This would be a massive score for a multitude of reasons. Do we have room to bring in both he and KW this year?
EDIT: Looks like we do according to the table.

That is assuming Mourning is on scholarship, which is still unknown.

That is assuming Mourning is on scholarship, which is still unknown. I thought we determined Mourning is indeed on scholarship but I could be wrong. Either Williams or NWG would be huge for the program. Obviously Williams would be able to help next year and NWG is a proven high performer at D1. I'd be thrilled if we could sign either guy.

That is assuming Mourning is on scholarship, which is still unknown. Trey is on scholarship according to Standig, although he did mess up the calendar year.. It should be the 14-15 season.. www.csnwashington.com/ncaa/hoyas-notebook-jtiii-downplays-report-terps-cavs-matchupsThe Hoyas will enter the 2013-14 season with 12 players on scholarship, including freshman Trey Mourning. There had been some speculation of the message board variety that the son of former Georgetown great and NBA Hall of Fame center Alonzo Mourning might not be on scholarship, thus leaving Thompson another roster spot. As it stands, one spot is open, but with school starting this week, it will remain empty.

That is assuming Mourning is on scholarship, which is still unknown. Doesn't matter if he's still on scholarship or not. He's a counter.
