pretty sure if your Dad is on the BoD you get to do things a little differently +1. I was just about to make a comment along those lines.

As DoctorHoya said, it's not about Gtown refusing to provide preferential treatment, it's about following NCAA guidelines if we want him to be eligible to walk-on.... (Unless when you commit/enroll doesn't matter for that rule. I'm not familiar with the bylaws at that detailed of a level.)

Casual has him "on campus" yesterday, says commitment "seems imminent," given Obi to Puke and Horford to Gators. When there were the student able to give him one of those special recruits reception?

I have never seen a recruit greeted with so little fanfare on Hoyatalk. We do realize that Trey is a good/great player right? Let's show the kid some love. I really believe he will be the stretch 4 that we have craved for a long time.............Welcome to the Hilltop Trey!!!!!!!!!

Welcome Trey!
Pat Jr, Riyan Williams, now Zo Jr, all joining JT's son III. How cool is this team? Have a great time on the Hilltop young man. We love having family members come home.

What's the big deal if folks get overly excited about a kid? Because it's unwarranted and puts too much pressure on the kid. When you build him up so much and he ends up being Nate Lubick, or worse, then he'll be unfairly criticized. He is what he is. A last minute recruit who is probably the 5th most talented kid we're bringing in this year.

We still don't want Mr. Mourning wearing some other colors. If he can play, he will play. If not . . .

Yes, I am sure the son of Alonzo Mourning is unfamiliar with unfair expectations. The pressure put on by some over excited comments (which never even occurred) on a message board will far exceed anything he has faced before.
