He will be a DI player and probably a good one, assuming he gets qualified, but it won't be for Georgetown. Come on. That's a terrible fit for both parties.

I know that JTII loves him.

I'm not sure he'll qualify. He highschool league said something about not letting him play this year if he played in the Boost Mobile Game and he went ahead and played anyway. Seems like a trouble maker. He needs to get separated from his posse that does not have his best interest at heart. Could end up being a train wreck. He's talented, but I don't want a part of his mess.

those driving lanes that were open last night won't be as open in D-1 college ball. There was very little defense played and he out ran people down the floor. That said, he gets buckets, but is really small. Not sure about major D-1 and I don't think he's a pro.

Also i think ESPN threw their wait around a little.

Ah ok. Still don't want to be involved in a kid with such a big entourage. He needs to get out of the area to really flourish.

Surprised he's not headed to a prep school away from Baltimore.

I think Aquille is a singularly unique player. His height, speed, strength and ability to get anywhere on the court with the dribble (especially into the lane). He makes buckets and has an outside shot so you can't consistently sag off of him, I think he's a special player but it's the other things that many speak about that may derail his future as a basketball player. I'm rooting for him to succeed.

Great talent.....Doesn't know how to play...Good coaching will help, but he reminds me of Bobby Moore, a kid from New Haven CT about 10 years ago.
He's got to figure out that style points still only go for a single bucket

Because of his size he needs to word twice as hard as everyone else, and an entourage is the killer of hard work (in that they tell you how good you are no matter what is true). I think he is set up to be that kid we all talk about now for a long time, but then forget about for two years and then when he is a junior he has some crazy performance in the NCAAs and everyone is like "oh yeah that kid".

I don't think his size has much to do with how hard he has to work. His speed and quickness and his ability to change directions with the ball make up for a lot of his physical deficiencies (height) and he's also an excellent leaper for his size.
I believe if he qualifies we'll be talking about him throughout his career because he is just blessed with natural basketball abilities in spite of his size, time will tell.

JTII and JTIII watched him tonight. Last two players I've heard about them both seeing at the same time: Moses Ayegba and Greg Whittington.

I don't understand why this kid is not a Hoyatalk target for him to be a potential Hoya in the future. Is there some understanding that he would not qualify or do we think he's just limited as a D1 caliber baller?
From all that I have seen this kid is an instant game changer, even at 5'6"! I said earlier that JT Jr loved the kid ("The Crime Stopper") and it's good to see JTIII checking him out, kid is as tough as nails and his speed, quickness, strength and serious talent make up for his height deficiency.
Being from Baltimore doesn't hurt either as we need to get back in that area from a recruiting aspect. I personally would take Aquille over any of the Point Guard prospects that have been discussed here on Hoyatalk, including my personal favorite Nate Britt who chose UNC.
A one man fast-break and I can envision him spearheading the newly installed full court press.

Of course Isaiah Whitehead is a beast also and would be a GREAT get.
