In other news, Domingo drops to 44 in ESPN rankings. Seriously, you could set a watch by their bias. So his over inflated ranking was due to to involvement with Harvard and Stanford?

44 sounds about right.. He did not have a good season last year for SI.. They finished 11-16 and he only averaged 14ppg. With a strong showing over the summer he should move up and he has played well so far

Sleepy was not only pre-JT3, he was pre-Three Point Era. And he still scored over 2300 points! Loved watching him play.

You could probably safely add 250 ponts to Sleepy's career totals if there was a 3 point shot back then

Domingo is poised for a really big summer with Dream Vision.
He's played very well so far.
I'll be watching him play again this weekend. I'll keep you guys posted.

That's pretty funny. I don't usually buy most of the conspiracy theories around here, and I am not sure that Domingo's ranking dropped just because he committed to GU. But I do truly believe that if had committed to Duke, for example, there is no way he would have dropped in the ranking, and he might have moved up.

It was only a few spots. Rankings don't really matter, take Jeff Green for example.

Don't count on him moving up if he plays really well this summer. DSR was the best scorer and probably best player on the #1 high school team in the country and it got him nowhere in the rankings.

Doesn't really matter....Domingo is a great fit for us. A lengthy, athletic shooter who will be able to stretch defense. I'm confused with the hand wringing, but it will come to light a little bit for us this year. DSR and Markel are the only two guys on the roster, currently, that can consistently knock down three's. Maybe Greg and Otto develop that, but they aren't there yet. We need a Domingo. He has a skillset we sorely lack on our current roster.
The rest will take care of itself.

I really like DSR's game but he hasn't proven anything on the collegiate level yet, gotta play the games.. Greg shot 10-18 from 3 over the last 15 games and that # is even better when you factor in that in 2 or 3 of those games he didn't attempt a 3pt shot. I think we can expect very good things from GW this season.

Fwiw Greg shot 40% from three after the start of the BE season and 44% over his last 15 games cuttingdownnets.wordpress.com/2012/05/22/is-greg-whittington-ready-to-be-2nd-in-charge/"What may come to a surprise to the casual basketball fan is who played the 5th most minutes for Georgetown and posted the 3rd highest offensive rating over the span of the final 10 games (119.7 credit to HoyaProspectus). It was Greg Whittington, who did not hit a freshman wall but barged through it and thrived late. Beginning with the home date with St. John’s on February 12th – in which Greg bailed out the Hoyas – Greg was 23 for 39 from the floor (58.9%) , 10 for 18 from three (55.5%) and 12 for 15 from the free throw line (80%) throughout the final loss to North Carolina State. Dream Vision is an Adidas team-not an EYBL team-that is Nike sponsored.

No--it's specifically for Nike teams. Some kids on UA/Adidas circuit get on roster of EYBL teams and play in some events but Domingo hasn't done this.
