Which apparently solicits anyone to send him "updates". Not saying it isn't true, just that he doesn't suggest he needs verification to add names to the list. If it is true - suggest that Hollis might be moving to the 2? Does anyone, after reading veechie's Tweets this season, or watching the lack of playing Sanford got this season really believe that this information is false? Or that it hasn't been in the works for a while now? I know we're supposed to take things with a grain of salt if it's not from an official statement, but this one is somewhere between makes a lot of sense and patently obvious. I've ragged on transfers before, usually when I think that they're taking shots at the system or blaming Georgetown for their own shortcomings. In this case, I wish Vee the best of luck. Good things happened every single time he stepped on the floor, and the coach didn't let him do it often enough. He can, and I hope will, find success elsewhere.

Congratulations to Vee. I don't know what was happening off the court or in class, and maybe that was it rather than on-court issues (or maybe not), but Vee was the best reserve guard on the team this year and for reasons which are totally inexplicable to any rational outside observer, he did not play enough.
Ideally, you would have liked for him to work it out with the coaching staff rather than leave, but I think JT II said it clearly many times: if you don't look out for yourself, nobody else will.
Please refrain from speculating on possible off-court or academic issues with a student athlete when there is no basis to do so. It is patently unfair to the student.

If true, that kid Christon might become a priority. If we bring in a 2011 PG like Christon, then we're right back to where we started: 14 guys for 13 schollies.

why would any good player go to UVA? VA TECH has been close to making the dance every year. Vee could put them over. Anyway, IT'S a done deal according to my nephew at HOKIELAND. Way off topic, but come on - UVA isn't dead yet. They will be relevant again soon. I guess VTech would be much closer to home, though. I just shudder at the thought.

Also, I haven't seen Vee say one bad word about the school, Coach or system publicly. Frustration about the situation, yes, but I haven't him seen him cross the line once to blaming anyone for it. Hope that continues and he keeps representing himself with class, and I'm sure we'll all keep rooting for him wherever he goes if that continues.

During pre game shots against VCU, Vee was just rebounding and passing to other players. He was the only player doing that.
I got the sense that he wasn't too worried about playing.

Since the board doesn't allow open discussion about sensitive stuff--let me put it this way--if you think they are going to end up with 14 guys and 13 scholarships--you need to pay attention more. It's obvious what is going to happen.

Jason Clark, Jabril Trawick, Aaron Bowen, and Hollis Thompson should be dribbling a basketball nonstop from today until next March.

Vee's floater against the Cuse will always hold a special place in my heart.

Vee's floater against the Cuse will always hold a special place in my heart. Great moment, but that was pretty much it for the kid here. He was one of our late season desperation signings who we plucked from the mid-majors who were also in pursuit. We all hoped we had a diamond in the rough - JT3 clearly didn't think so. I've been upset about transfers in the past, but I think it's clear we're bringing in better players than we're losing. So good luck to Vee - wish it had worked out, but it didn't.

Wish Vee the best of luck if this is true. He showed great things on the court whenever he had the chance to play. With his transfer, he also made room for Otto Porter. Can't ask more from a guy.

Right, Vee only made 52% if his two point shots, 60% of his three point shots, all 6 of his free throws, was fifth on the team in steals despite limited minutes, and had a flat A/TO ratio. And this was not in garbage time against bad teams. The kid produced when given the opportunity. I find it hard to believe that on-court issues are what caused this transfer.

Not much of a sample size there. I'm just saying let's not be revisionists and turn this kid into some kind of stud. He was bench help for us and wasn't going to be much more during his time here - and I trust JT3, who watched him practice for 2 years, more than I trust message board GMs. I wish he had turned out to be more productive for us. He didn't, and now he's gone. Again, the players we have coming in make this one much easier to take.

Didn't intend it to be derogatory to Vee. I really do wish him luck and think this is best for everyone involved.
