We had a very interesting meeting with Harry's doctor on Wednesday. We wanted to talk to him about the plan for Harry going forward after he completes his current immunotherapy protocol. During the conversation we asked his doctor how Harry was doing relative to other kids. His doctor then told us that Harry's response has been "unique" and tat the recurrence which appeared on his October scan is usually followed in short order by widespread metastasis. As stated by his doctor, Harry dodged a huge bullet.
His Mom and I were floored by this news. We knew Harry was doing great. We just didn't know how fortunate he had already been to respond so well immediately.
I know God's hands are on my son. I see him and know he will be well.
Thank God for the gift of my son and the geniuses who are helping him to get better. Please keep those wonderful healers in your prayers as well.

Harry is the real life Neo. That post was scary as all get out, incredibly hopeful and amazingly loving. Pretty much a microcosm off all I've been privileged to know of what your journey has been like thanks to this thread and your generosity in sharing so much. Continued love, support, prayers, good vibes, etc. etc. Go Harry the Incredible!

prayers here for the man AND i hope the hoyas win this one for harry saxa HE DESERVES THE JOY OF A HOYA WIN.. the tenth place prediction in the big east up to two would be awesome. .....not as quite as awesome of harrys fighting that cancer thingy ......but aok ....... its about more that the bball....... Harry in today for Round 6 of his immunotherapy. Doctors who have not sen him for awhile are thrilled and amazed at how he looks. Weight is at all time high and he just rocks. This morning when we were late getting going he looked ight at me and said "hospital.today huh?" He never ceases to amaze. Just chastised me for not getting the MLB package yet on the computer so he can watch spring training games.

My dad is in the hospital right now with glioblastoma (brain cancer) and they are trying a round of radiation even though they weren't optimistic initially he was a good candidate. He agreed to try it I think because he wants to try to be around for his first grandchild's birth (my wife is due in September.) |
