From Harry and our entire family, a Happy and Healthy 2014 to everyone in our extended Hoya family. The support and love my son has received from this group of people is staggering and something for which this father is eternally grateful. HARRY SAXA Elvado, I wish the same for you and Harry and your family. Harry's journey is a continual reminder in my own life that the sort of caring and sense of community expressed in this thread should be more the norm than the exception. Your son has changed how active I am in expressing that hope in my everyday and, for that, I thank him and you for sharing all of the ups and downs, fears and hopes, and the continued success. He's an amazing boy surrounded by an equally amazing family. Thank you for all you've given your Hoya family by sharing yourselves. I continue to feel lucky to feel connected to your family. Best wishes in every regard for 2014. Harry Saxa.

Three years ago today, Harry was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma and I opened this thread.
The people on this board reached out and siupported a terrified father and our entire family in a way that still brings tears to my eyes.
Today, thanks to God, prayer, amazing medical talent and the incredible courage of my son, he is a beautiful, amazing, happy little boy whose biggest worry is that his sister had 15 friends sleep over last night and whether they will be gone so he can enjoy Super Bowl Sunday in peace.
I marvel at life's blessings.

Elvado, Harry continues to amaze and inspire those of us who are lucky enough to be on this board. Your posts always put into perspective how the courage and strength of a little boy can make a five game losing streak or a win over a top team seem serve only as a distraction to the important things in life. May God continue to bless your true Hero Harry and your beautiful and inspirational family! Enjoy the game Harry!

Thank you for the completely ordinary update Elvado. I hope, for Harry's sake, that in a few years, his sister has a similar sleepover. I'm lucky enough to know that there's a huge upside to big sisters! Best to you and your beautiful family and keep the normalcy coming!!

A big HARRY SAXA to your whole family, Elvado. Hope Harry enjoyed the Superbowl in peace and that he was rooting for Seattle. Also, I see that his favorite baseball player retired, if I am not mistaken.
I'm so glad to hear the update on Harry and that he is enjoying his childhood.

As tas said, so happy to see the updates are ordinary. It's what we all prayed for. Keep 'em coming!

Prayers and love to Harry and your whole family 'vadi. The wonderful updates on Harry and his blessed developments have given us all hundreds of smiles, and repeatedly remind us to hug our loved ones a little tighter every day.
Oh, and I promise that when Harry is our point guard in a decade or so, I will never complain about his turnovers or missed free throws!
Hoya Saxa Harry.

It's been a while so I wanted to check in... How's the little man? Enjoying normal days I hope. Working on his handle and growth plates? Best wishes to all.

All is great. Thanks for checking in. He makes first penance on March 8 and first Holy Communion on April 26. Picked out a sweet white suit and requested a bow tie because "I don't do long ties."
Playing soccer and gearing up for Little League. Blesssd normalcy all around.

Harry made First Penance on Saturday. He was rocking a cool black suit with herringbone vest and red polka dot bow tie.
I would love to know exactly what he confessed, but he understands the confessional seal and won't give it up.
He dutifully did his prayers and carried on.
My own editorial comment would be that after everything he has been through, he need not confess anything. The beauty of my son is that he does not think that way.
Just another day to enjoy God's blessings.

'vadi - Thanks for the report, love the red polka-dot tie! Perfect timing for your update, to lend the necessary perspective to BET week, and the teeth-gnashing and severe criticism that will dominate the board should things not go the Hoyas way in NYC. Harry Saxa, and bless you all.

My wife and I are speaking about Harry tomorrow at an Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation National Sponsor Summit.
Hopefully hearing a little about our son will help the sponsors dig deep for Alex's. Their work in raising finds for Pediatric Cancer research is vital.
If you ever get a chance buy a cup of Lemonade at one of the stands. We have gotten to know Alex's parents and their courage and grace following the loss of their daughter is inspiring.

The only thing Harry had to confess is probably a couple of nasty words during the Hoyas-Villanova game. Elvado, do you have a picture of Harry in that outfit? I would love to see him.

Harry had first Little League practice tonight. He is thrilled to be on the Astros because they have an "H" on the hat.
Got home from school today to find a package sent by Coach Weise of the soccer team. The package had a note from Steve Neumann who sent Harry a hat signed by the entire New England Revolution soccer team.
In a year when our basketball results may not have been what we wanted, Georgetown sports continues to do great things for my family.
