Pollard has scheduled an announcement for 6 p.m. on Friday. He is choosing among GU, Texas, Alabama, and Missouri.

Do anyone think we are still in the running? The team will have a scholarship crunch if he signs. Hope he comes aboard but I am not holding my breathe.

I think the consensus is that it's Texas or Alabama, but the Pollard's have kept it very quiet. It's mostly speculation even at this point.

For the record, Devonta is practically bald. His hair is extremely short for those of you that are too literal.

From that article, it claims "the SEC is a good conference for developing future NBA players." Is the whole SEC taking credit for Kentucky's NBA players? Or are the other teams pumping out more players to the NBA than I realize?

I'm patiently waiting for Devonta to do the typical "shock the world" on twitter, which of course means he'll make the most obvious choice anyway.

Curious that the article did not mention the Hoya scholarship log jam for next year if he signs with the Hoyas. And why does he think that he would not start right away given the Hoyas lost three starters and of the none starters returning only Greg, Bowen, and Hopkins have BE playing experience.

Well there is only a log jam in 2013-14 if everyone who is currently on the roster and recruited for 2013 stays on the roster (doesn't go pro, gets medical clearance to play, etc.) Agree that the assumption that Pollard wouldn't play a lot to be very weird. Then again, the author confused Texas coach with the guy who almost won the US Open a few years ago.

I think we're making too much of the scholly jam. There's a decent chance not everyone is back next year. Also, it seems like teams like Louisville have figured out ways around this (like this past season when they had 2 seniors go off scholarship to fit everyone on the roster).

Maybe because Otto and Whitt will be starting at his positions and he would have to come off the bench?

Maybe because Otto and Whitt will be starting at his positions and he would have to come off the bench? Unless Nate improves his offensive game and quickness on defense then the starting 4 will be Otto. Greg played more at the 2 last year then he did at the 3 so if he starts, he starts at the 2. Therefore Devonta would eventually start at the 3 if not right away.
