I think if Devonta signs up with the Hoyas that it will be better for the Hoyas in the long run than if the Hoyas had gotten NN and lost Devonta. I think NN is definitely a one and done recruit. I think from the statements of his mother, Devonta will follow the path of Greg Monroe and be at Georgetown for at least two years. That is two years with the core of Otto,Nate, Greg and Devonta playing together along with the centr position being manned by Hopkins,Moses,Adams and Bolden. No great height but all are athletic. It reminds me of the team Larry Brown had when he won the national championship with UCLA, where the forwards were the stars of the team like Otto,Greg,Devonta and Nate would be for this team. His recruitment will also solidify the Hoyas ability to recruit in the south. They now have strong ties to Mississippi and Louisiana. Kirby and Othella could expand that to Alabama, Georgia and Texas. Overall the young man and his mom with the strong family ties are just a perfect fit for the family atmosphere JT3 and JT2 have with the Hoyas. Come on Devonta, you and Tyler make us fans in Mississippi proud like your coach Othella did some years ago.

If it were one or the other I think Pollard would do more on the court than NN by virtue of being here for two years and filling in for Hollis's points. NN would have been a big lift from our current core big men, but Pollard is a bigger lift from what he have at the 3/4 now next to Otto (assuming Greg is a more of a guard/forward). Now cue those who will ignore 99% of your post and focus on your passing comment that Nate would be one of the stars on the team. Also cue two pages about Nate, and not Pollard.

I also think we should spend less time talking about how we're talking about things other than the topic we're supposed to be talking about. That meme totally jumped the shark yesterday. #firstworldproblems

I think it all comes down to if we were able to make him feel comfortable in DC. If we were successful I think he'll pick us. If he feels uncomfortable leaving home and that girl then he'll go elsewhere(presumably Missouri or Alabama, texas doesn't seem to be getting much play).

Bama is the only one really close to Kemper County (69 miles straightline distance). Both Missouri and Texas are around 500 miles away. At that distance it really becomes a moot point since you have to fly to get there.

Bama is the only one that's close, but the other three schools are probably closer culturally to Mississippi than DC is. I do think it will be us or Bama, though.

Larry Brown never won a National Championship at UCLA--it was Kansas, so do you mean that team or his UCLA team that lost to Louisville in Final 4?
Agree that Pollard is a great fit and would make this a very dangerous team immediately-he also brings another guy who can push the ball/finish strong in transition--which is an area this team needs to get more pts from in future.

Probably means the UCLA team with Kiki and Darren Daye, not the Danny and the Miracles team.

If Pollard choose to stay 2 or more years it could be G'Town, Alabama, or Missouri. If it's a one & done it's You No Who!

My bad and you are correct sir. I was preoccupied during that game and if I remember that correctly, could have cared less who won the game and it now shows.
