Being enlightened is no longer enough You must apply Being willing is no longer acceptable You must do
Devonta could end up anywhere with schools on his list right now but Georgetown has worked as hard on him as any prospect you can name this Summer.[/quote]

When is this stud making his college decision? Do we think it will happen this Fall or will he be a spring signee?

RDF - agree - I just think the kid looks like a Wildcat the way he plays. I hope we can hang with the big boys for Devonta. He is a treasure recruit. Pollard deserves a bump on this board. Any updates on him? An elite, high impact player who sounds like he would be a perfect fit to the tougher, aggressive mentality our current frosh class is bringing in.

I feel like our recruiting is in a holding pattern until Kyle decides. There has not been a lot about Pollard, but Kirby was at all of his games this summer. So perhaps you'll see a push for him after Kyle's decision. Our main competition is Kentucky.

I really don't think our recruitment of Pollard should be waiting on Kyle's decision. We should be constantly pushing for a kid this good. 1 in 5 chance of getting Kyle. Lets not shoot ourselves in the foot with everyone else because of a 20% chance.

I don't think hsb meant we are waiting on kyles decision to pursue him (we have been on pollard hard all along) it's that alot of our top targets decisions may be influenced if Kyle commits our way.

yeah. I just mean I don't expect any developments till after kyle. We're obviously doing our due diligence and making the phone calls we're allowed.

I just wish we could go out and make another domino fall first. So much riding on Kyle.

Devonta Pollard isnt' a backup plan for any school--Georgetown spent as much time recruiting him as they have anyone not named Kyle Anderson in '12 class--and as much as they have Kyle this summer--but haven't been on him for 4 years like they have with Kyle.

Think it's quiet due to him playing HS football PR.

RDF- this is the best news on the recruiting front that we've heard in the past two weeks! Silent on the recruiting front bc he's playing another sport. I wouldn't have been surprised if the reason was a commitment to Syracuse or Villanova! We need to land a target and soon and I'm hoping Devonta or TJ's our man

Rivals makes it sound like Kentucky and Texas on top and getting officials, Georgetown and Marquette under consideration for visits.

Hoyas have at least had an in-home to this point.
"It's still the same schools that I've gave before that are looking at me. I've had a couple of teams that have come to my house. Mississippi State, Alabama, Texas, Marquette, Georgetown and Missouri have all came."
says he still will decide in the spring.
