This is obviously a secondary concern compared to all of our other problems, but . . .
This is the second year in a row where it seems like our backdoor passes are just as likely to lead to turnovers as a successful catch. Teams have adjusted somewhat and we aren't catching them off guard with the backdoors anymore, but it is clear that guys keeping looking for them and trying to force them in even when there is no room. This leads to countless deflections and balls bouncing out of bounds.
It also puts us in a situation where we have bigs handling the ball an excessive amount and looking to make tough passes, which is the last thing we need for an already turnover-prone team.
I wish there was some play-charting available to make sure I'm right, but I really think we'd be better off if JTIII tried to de-emphasize the backdoor plays and encourage guys to only make the pass when it's a clear opening. We aren't good enough to give away possessions just because the Princeton offense is supposed to have backdoor passes.

too focused on the 3 if you ask me.
i'd rather just run the offense with great ball movement to generate a good look at the basket.

Not focussed enough on defense.

We definitely forced the entry passes to the cutters today, and WVU was prepared. I'm not sure I see a long-range trend with forces - but today? Absolutely.

Again, the guys were jacking up 3s all the way from Baltimore. There's a reason there's a 3 point line. You don't need to be 5 feet behind it to make a 3. (Or then there is the Hollis problem, who steps into his shot and ends up making 2s instead of 3s).

If teams were overplaying the backdoor cut, we should have open looks from the perimter. However, the defense is in passing lanes, and out on our shooters. How do you guard both so well. Don't think it is great defense, just stagnant offense. Felt bad for Julian a couple times as he was 22 ft away and everyone was standing still. That's not Princeton. Hey, we shot our ft's well at least.
