Justified returns January 17 with Bubba from Forrest Gump and the original Silk Spectre joining the cast.
That is all.

The League is just great. Should be appealing to the majority of the board -- probably could be any of us and our group of friends. This season got a little wacky at times and away from its core, but ended on a really really high note. It's kind of Seinfeld-esque -- lots of seemingly disparate plotlines converge together at the end, multiple amoral characters do bad things and seem to get away with it but usually get their comeuppance, lots of one word catchphrases, no learning, no hugging, etc.
In other sitcom news, Community is NOT cancelled according to NBC but will come back this Spring (probably different time or possibly day. And (the show with the worst title ever called) Cougartown should also be back in the near future.
Oh and Downton Abbey started up again. Yes, I watch it with my wife. And I enjoy it.

The League is awesome. I plowed through it during break. Taco and Rafi are two of the best characters on TV.
Community not being canceled is an argument of semantics. It's on hiatus, probably gets switched timeslot (as you just argued), and had really awful ratings to begin with. It hasn't been canceled yet, but that'll be the end result. This season was really disappointing I thought.
Justified back on January 19th!

I would ask you to turn in your man card, but I somehow sit through Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice every week (and watched The Help last weekend).

Second, we must have been watching different seasons of Community, because the Halloween, Christmas, foosball, and multiple universes episodes this year were some of its all-time best.

I disliked the Christmas, Foosball, and Multiple Universes episodes. I also think they completely wasted Michael K. Williams, they wasted a lot of time in "how the group behaves"-type episodes at the expense of the character arcs, and Documentary Filmmaking could have been a lot better.

So, I guess this is a spoiler, but....
I'm really worried about Dewey. I didn't realize how much I loved that character. (NO COLESLAW) until the cliffhanger at the end of episode.

We're talking about Dewey Crowe, right? I can't see them getting rid of Dewey.

Did anyone else have problems figuring out who the actress playing Layla was? Since Olyphant is about a foot taller than James Roday and because she wasn't wearing heels, I spent about a half hour trying to figure out who it was - knew I recognized her and that I had seen her a ton in something, and finally gave up and had to read Alan Sepinwall's review to figure out it was Maggie Lawson.

I'm not much of a cartoon guy, but Archer is hysterical. Anyone who misses Ben Katz from Dr. Katz- Archer is voiced by same guy and it brings the funny right back.

Jon Benjamin has one of the best voices ever. He has done some amazing characters, including perhaps one of the best animated characters of all time, Coach McGuirk in Home Movies. As Comedy Central discovered in his live show, however, he does have a bit of a face for radio.

Community returns on March 15. (Yay!) And 30 Rock and the Office have been quite funny after a year (or in the case of the Office a few years) or so of hum-drum episodes. With the Office, I think Steve Carrell leaving was a good thing. As with other breakout stars (the Fonz, Homer Simpson, etc) he took over the show for the worse, and his storylines became increasingly implausible. There's still a lot of silliness, but it is enjoyable.
As for 30 Rock, I can't put a finger on it - tighter writing, perhaps? Maybe the long hiatus was a good thing.

OK, I may get tarred and feathered for this, but I'm going to say it anyway:
Am I the only one who thinks this season of Justified is pretty damn blah?
Like hoyatables, I can't seem to put my finger on it, but I find myself just bored with the story this season, save for a few dramatic moments here and there.
Glad to hear Bob's Burgers is coming back. Louise is an entertaining character in the "Bart Simpson - Bender" tradition, Jon Benjamin is a great lead as Bob, and, of course they are following the pattern that has led to the success of so many animated shows: Give the lead character's wife the absolute most annoying voice ever. (See: The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, etc. etc. etc.), yet somehow she is kind of endearing anyway.

Am I the only one who thinks this season of Justified is pretty damn blah? I think the plotlines were a lot tighter last season, with one main enemy - the Bennets - but I think it'll all come together. Quarles is really creepy but I feel like the weak link this season is Limehouse, who they haven't really developed enough. They've gotten some really good supporting performances though - the guy who played Icepick was really good, the pawn shop owner was really good, and they wrote Winona out just as she was getting annoying. It might not be as amazing as last season, but other than The Challenge, it's the show I most look forward to every week. BTW, Happy Endings really has its fastball going right now. I'd put it above any of the NBC comedies, especially tables' fave Community.
