If Goggins, Olyphant, Martindale, and maybe even the kid playing Loretta don't get nominated for awards, something is wrong. Easily the best show airing on TV right now. Olyphant, Martindale, and Goggins all up for Emmys! I called it!!!!! <balloons fall, Colbert style> It's tough, but I gotta pull for Coach Taylor over Deputy Givens.

No emmy nomination for Community? And only Amy Poehler for Parks & Rec? There is something wrong here.

No emmy nomination for Community? And only Amy Poehler for Parks & Rec? There is something wrong here. I think Parks and Recs itself is also up for an Emmy. I love Community more than life itself, and I think the "My Dinner with Abed" episode was almost Emmy worthy (particularly given the cross-network crossover that was revealed with the final episode of Cougartown), but its second season was not as good as the first season. The Emmys almost never reward the comedies that deserve it. One need only look at the various individuals and shows that repeatedly lost to Emmy darlings like Frasier and Monk. I still think that Scrubs deserved at least one win somewhere along the line.

Hey now!!
Don't knock Monk. That was a great show. Formulaic? Absolutely.
But Tony Shaloub was excellent & deserved any award he got.
(I'm not a big awards person, but I think that's where Monk got most of it's awards & nominations, wasn't it? - for him as lead actor. And for John Tuturro for guest performance & who can argue with giving Barton Fink an award?)

However, I have to think that Community was more Emmy worthy than 30 Rock, The Office, and The Big Bang Theory.

I just hate when an actor or actress wins year in and year out. Seems like after winning a couple of Emmys in a row for playing the same character, the rules should give someone else a chance. Or maybe I'm just sharing in Zach Braff's bitterness

After the first new episode, I was afraid Curb Your Enthusiasm might be pretty much done, but this past episode was damn funny. Not sure if anyone else liked it, but I thought it was great. Social Assassin!

Social Assassin! Social Assassin was great. So was "I'm yelling for society." Mmmm, chunky monkey. I can't wait for the Bill Buckner episode.

Glad Justified and GOT each took home awards. Both actors very deserving, of course.

(I didn't think we were allowed to post on other topics today...thanks for being a trailblazer Boz) Nothing brings the B&G board political combatants together like freaking out about basketball. And congrats to Dinklage as well. I like that the first line of his speech was fretting that he was following Scorcese.
