Rasheed plays on my little cousin's team. I am headed to watch him play for a 3rd time on Friday. The kid is a stud on and off the court. Real gentleman, yes sir no sir type. On the court, he's a very skilled scorer who plays within the offense and doesnt force too much.
Danny Manning was in the house this week to watch Rasheed play.

Numerous sources are now reporting that Duke today dismissed Rasheed Sulaimon, their sixth man, from the basketball team. He remains a student in good standing at Duke, for the time being.

have to believe the kid was not happy about being recruited over and sent to the bench, and one could surmise he didn't kiss the ring with enough reverence. With a press release like that, the truth is bound to leak out eventually.

Sulaimon is reportedly the first player ever dismissed by Krzyzewski from the program since he began coaching at Duke in 1980. I suppose that can be interpreted in a variety of ways.

THe following tweets are from Laura Keeley, who covers the Duke basketball team for the Raleigh News Observer:
Laura Keeley @laurakeeley · 39m 39 minutes ago What I know: it was a recurring conduct issue with Rasheed Sulaimon, and the final straw came on the Notre Dame road trip
Laura Keeley @laurakeeley · 46m 46 minutes ago It's a recurring discipline issue with Sulaimon, as press release indicates. Final straw came after Notre Dame game
Laura Keeley @laurakeeley · 47m 47 minutes ago Sulaimon's dismissal has nothing to do with anything that happened on the court.

It depends how you define "dismissed"? There's an article about how K gets these once highly recruited kids to leave his program, but this one is a full, not subtle dismissal. I agree that it will come out eventually...

Depending on what he did and if he qualified for a graduate transfer and could play right away I would give it a look. Career 39.1% 3pt shooter. Over 40% the last two years.

I agree that it will come out eventually... that virtually happens at every school.. because most athletic scholarships are NOT 4 years guaranteed, they are renewed year by year. athletes who underperform get forced to leave all the time.

Coach K is pretty much saying that the kid is a locker room cancer. I would pass.

If the rumors are true, we don't want to be anywhere near this kid.

CBS Sports just reported that Sulaimon and Coach K clashes had finally come to a head, this was something that had been going on for awhile.

very surprised by this. I have met his family on numerous occasions. The kid is a standout on and off the court.
