If the class of 2013 brought the toilet shooter and the class of 2014 brought the Harbin meth lab, I fear what the class of 2015 will bring

I knew a bunch of people on Harbin 9 in 2003-2004! I do wonder what room.
Also, this is really disturbing press for the University. The best thing that can come out next is that the "lab" was up and running for AT MOST a day or two, and it was reported and shut down quickly. The image of a functioning meth lab in a dorm for more than a few days is terrifying for a lot of reasons.

So obviously they are doing it at 5am because they assume everyone would be asleep and wouldn't smell it. But if this had been going on for awhile, I'm sure the smell would have been there for awhile as well and it seems odd that someone would be JUST reporting the smell at 5am.

Great press with this plus the police reports of what they found in Charles Smith's home.

We can now look forward to a year full of jokes about the Hoyas' "excellent off-court (or field) chemistry" or how they need to "get back into the lab and tweak their formula on offense/defense." Joy.

This is a huge embarrassment for the university. Are our science labs so outdated and overcrowded that students now have to make their meth in their own dorm rooms?!Pash wins.

Are our science labs so outdated and overcrowded that students now have to make their meth in their own dorm rooms?!I just think it shows kids laziness these days. Back in the day, we'd have to walk 15 miles barefoot on unpaved roads to get to Bubba's Meth Shack & Fireworks Emporium. Now kids expect their meth to be cooked for them in their dorm! What a sense of entitlement.

"DC Police say they have blocked off several streets surrounding the campus due to the volatility of the chemicals. Drivers are advised to avoid that area."
What streets were they blocking off? The closest public street would be 37th.

The comments in Vox Populi suggest that none of the Harbin fire alarms worked, so DPS had to go door to door.....
