I just saw on Evan Daniels twitter twitter.com/#!/EvanDanielscout where somebody from our staff paid Freeman a visit. It could be good things to come with him. We better be quick because Evan said UVA & Xavier offered and Kstate, USC, WVU and us watched him yesterday
13 is loaded with talent-and '14 has even more--if you get Troy Williams great--but there is a ton of other people out there. I'd love to see Williams end up a Hoya--Freeman--continue to evaluate but other seriously talented options remain in play.

I have a friend of mine that is at the Nike 100 camp in St. Louis this week and he said Al Freeman is the best player & he is about to make the LeBron Skills Academy. Wow. The kid is ranked 40th in all Scouting sites he could become one of biggest recruits in the last 5 years.

Al Freeman got his Hoya offer today (Alex Kline twitter)
Brandon Bolden has been trumping for Freeman and wants Hoya fans who are on Twitter to follow him. Bolden is a Hoya to the core--that kid loves Georgetown-very cool of him!
Consensus view of the national analysts seems to be that Freeman was the top player in St. Louis this past weekend. ESPN's take:
Allerik Freeman 2013, SG, 6-foot-4, 210 pounds He entered the event as ESPN's No. 40 overall prospect in his class. By virtue of his performance and the fact he demonstrated the handle, IQ and bravado needed to the run the point, he's on the fast track up the rankings. The big-bodied guard owns a sleek crossover, range on his jumper and is now armed with the confidence to take his game to the next level. This was his breakout national performance and it was a memorable one.
Freeman impressing at LeBron (posted this on July Recruiting thread too):
Standout players
Allerik Freeman (Charlotte/ Olympic) 2013, PG/SG, 6-foot-4, 197 pounds Freeman has good size, strength and a great command of the ball. He pushes the ball with great pace and has an excellent feel for what needs to be done in a given situation. He is able to create plays for himself or others and is as complete of a combination guard we have seen to date. His midrange game is great, which includes a beautiful floater that he knocks down with touch and body control. He will not hesitate to throw the advance pass or feed the post. Freeman also does a great job of using the shot fake to gain an offensive advantage. He can be a little streaky from behind the arc, but this can be fixed with better shot preparation. Defensively, he pressures the ball, helps and recovers and closes out under control. Freeman has a long offer list but did mention Virginia, Virginia Tech, Miami (FL), NC State, South Carolina, Georgetown, Tennessee, Georgia, Wake Forest, Xavier and Florida.
