He's running as a moderate Republican, in the proud tradition of Mark Hatfield and Bob Packwood (yes, there are a few of them left).
I understand that his first campaign promise is that he, Shaq and the Hughes twins will run a free throw shooting clinic at the state house.

Pretty good showing for a Republican in a statewide Oregon contest.

That wouldn't have been a problem. He would probably make a pass and miss, just like shooting free throws. I actually checked the Oregon results Tuesday night before I went to bed, and Dudley had a small lead. Couldn't quite sustain it.

If the Repubs had nominated a Tea Partier instead of a moderate they might have won. Just offering the opposite of what's being said about Delaware.

If the Delaware GOP had nominated a "tea partier" who was not a complete moron, they might have won. Same thing in Nevada, but even more so. That's the lesson to take away - tea party affiliation or not, you still have to put up a candidate who's not a total idiot.

I'm glad you recognized that both those candidates sucked.

I'm glad you recognized that both those candidates sucked. Good for you. Now explain why 361,471 people voted for Alvin Greene.
