Hoyas Win! Hoyas Win! Hoyas Win!
Woohoo! Go Hoyas! Heading into regional final, in just their second NCAA tourney appearance ever, against either 3 seed Ohio State (currently leading their game) or 2-seed UVA.
EDIT: okay, so Ambassador beat me to it, but still ridiculously exciting.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we're likely to be playing the next round in Columbus? tOSU/UVA has now gone final.

OSU beats UVA 3-2.
Next weekend in the Elite Eight: Georgetown vs. Ohio State.
OSU is the #3 seed in the bracket, so it'll be in Columbus. Hopefully it's warmer...the high in Minny today was something like 23 degrees and the field was surrounded by snowbanks.

Congratulations to the women. Usually I have a team in the elite eight, but it is Portland. Since UP was knocked in the 2nd round, this is a great outcome for the Hoyas. Beat the Buckeyes!!!

I kid you not, while we were at the football game, jkhoya12 was getting updates by text message about the game. At one point, he offered the following prediction: "I'm feeling a goal in the 89th minute."
What makes this even weirder is that just a couple of minutes before that, one of the football parents predicted "interception by #35 for a touchdown here!" right before the snap and #35 did indeed pick it off, although he didn't take it back for a TD, obviously.

I am channeling a 1969 movie: Goodbye Columbus. Take care of business on Friday, Hoyas.

Minnesota fans were giving us no chance to win due to the weather. Glad to see we proved them wrong.

Wowowowowow. This Georgetown women's soccer team is really turning into an incredible story. Please keep it going. I hope the greater Georgetown community, and more people in general, take notice.
