women move up form 23rd to 21st int he Topdrawersoccer rankings.
The Coaches stop ignoring the hoyas and finally rank gtown in the soccertimes poll at 23rd.
big weekend of soccer for the ladies. the goal should be at least an even weekend 2 ties or a win and a loss.

Samantha Baker, Georgetown, Jr., M was named to the Big East Honor roll. Scored a pair of gamewinners in a 2-0-0 week
both goals were her curling corner kicks into the back of the net.

women lost 1-0 to #11 Santa Clara. Here's a Stanford fans' persepective: "Interesting match vs. Hoyas, who lost heartbreaker to SC (may have deserved tie, certainly not win). Interesting team that mixes big players (center backs and holding mids) with crafty playmakers. In SC match, frequently dominated middle with numbers, but never put enough players up front to pose credible scoring threats. Imo, key matchups vs. Cardinal to take place on flanks."
Santa Clara dirtied up the game in the second committing 10 fouls. Coaching staff got a yellow complaining( my assumption) Play sunday against #2 stanford. We weren't expected to win any of these games but keeping them close is a moral victory. Was hoping for at least 1 tie.

Not bad, losing to perennial power Santa Clara 1-0. Santa Clara plays in the soccer powerful WCC, which has produced three national champs in this decade (winning one of those themselves). Lets beat the cardinal.

Hoyas not quite on Stanford's level yet, go down 2-0 while recording 4 shots on goal to the Cardinal's 22. Stanford's second goal was on a PK. Should be noted that Santa Clara beat Stanford 1-0 earlier.

Women drop to 19th after 2 losses in California. www.nscaa.com/seniorRes.php?it=1260Conference schedule starts off with a bang against rutgers who while underperforming so far this year was picked ahead of the hoyas preseason. A win on the road would be huge.

Its amazing what has happened to the women's soccer team since they received that million dollar donation back in 1998.... in basically 11 seasons they are now a top 20 team. Fantastic!

These two road wins likely get the Hoyas back into (at least some of) the national polls this week, and more importantly, strengthen the team's resume.
Hoyas had an RPI of 22 going into this past weekend, so with two road wins this week, that should also rise.

women's game today at 2:30 then senior day on sunday then senior day on sunday at 1pm against #4 ND. Come out and cheer on the ladies this weekend in their last two games of the regular season. Generally a team with a top 22 RPI at this point in the season is safe, which the women have, but winning both of these would lock it up.

women won 1-0 over depaul today locking up 2nd place in their division. Which means we'll get a home quarterfinal matchup against the #3 of the American division. We can't catch ND so we're locked into that #2 spot.
