I got a chance to meet Jabril (for the 2nd time) after the 'Nova game. He played with my friend's younger brother at Abington Friends and knows their family pretty well. He seems like a character guy who is psyched to be a future Hoya (as you can probably tell from his Twitter and FB updates).
Given that he was at the Temple game, I'm happy he was also there yesterday. The atmosphere was electric and the Hoyas put together their best 40 minutes of basketball (both defensively and offensively) of the season.
I was supposed to go check out him play last night, but unfortunately wasn't able to make it. Good to see he had a solid game and moreover brought home the W. Can't wait to see Jabril in a Hoya uniform next season. Until then, let's enjoy this season... lots of ball yet to play!

Does he seem like a good sized kid for a High Schooler? Gotta love the "solid character guy" assessment. Very glad you got to witness that Nova take down in person! Kudos!

Jabril lost in in OT tonight to ANC (Rakeem Christmas' team) . Jabril Had 19.
I'll take the real G'Town over Cuse tonight, though.

How is his shot from beyond 3 feet? Not kidding, just seems like every time I see him it is a slash to the basket or a dunk. Is he going to play guard for the Hoyas or the 3? In either case, I hope that he can shoot, because he will not be playing high school kids next year.

The knock on him has been his jumper, which some scouts claim is improving. Regardless of whether he projects as a 2 or 3, in JTIII's offense, he has to hit a jumper.

As long as its developing, he can be coached up if he wants to be. Can't be any worse than Rivers, whose jumper was awful. I seem to remember Jesse not having the prettiest stroke when he got to town, but he hit some key shots and never lacked for confidence in taking it.

SIDE NOTE:
If Daniel Ochefu and Westtown win tonight , they face Jabril's team.
