scoreless through regulation. Hoyas tons of great chances, but hard to tell exactly with the over enthusiastic announcers.
Let's win this in OT boys!

Sounds like there were multiple scoring opportunities in the first OT, including a UNC shot that hit the crossbar. Going into 2OT.

Another frenetic OT period. Going to PKs.
Ian Christianson hits the first one. 1-0 Hoyas
Wilbur in goal. Kirk Urso gets it in, 1-1.
Alex Verdi hasn't played in 2 months? He steps up and scores, 2-1 Hoyas.
Drew McKinney puts it in, 2-2.
C'deBaca's shot saved by Goodwin. 2-2.
Jalil Anibaba scores, 3-2 UNC.
Jimmy Nealis makes it. 3-3.
Enzo Martinez makes it 4-3 UNC. Diggs ties it at 4, but UNC scores on the 5th one. Game over.

Congrats to the Hoyas on a great season. Tough loss. We took one of the best teams in the country to a shootout on their home field. Keep your heads held high Hoyas!

Tough loss...is Brutto a SR? Great season though! both brutto and wilber are seniors. tough way to go out....from sounds of it online they battled hard and actually had some really good chances to put it away in regulation and overtime. build off this season and make this run a regular thing for the hoyas as they should be

build off this season and make this run a regular thing for the hoyas as they should be Well said. Would love for this to be a regular thing, to help build the Georgetown soccer fanbase further. I think we lose a lot of seniors this year, but the program right now might be stronger than it's ever been. Time to reload. Bummer of a way to end it, but congratulations on a great season, Hoyas. Here's to 2011. And of course, women still in it, one of eight teams left in the entire country.

Congrats to the men. No shame in how they played - it is just a shame that the season had to end on PK's.
