That's what the AyoTROLLah of Rock'N'Rolla not to mention windsurfing, Frolf, and '80's power ballads said about Andre Drummond, when he wasn't making up lies about sources regarding Kyle Anderson.

Tanya Payne: When picking schools what are you looking for?
Nerlens Noel: A good program with honest, reliable coaching staff that can develop their players and also good academics.
Sounds good to me.

Sounds good to me. Does Provvy still have good academics? We can eliminate the other 3 schools on this list using those criteria.

Noel did attend midnight madness at Syracuse last month and by all accounts had a good time. They are definitely making a hard push for him.

"A good program with honest, reliable coaching staff that can develop their players and also good academics."
Honest and reliable coaching staff should eliminate Uconn at the very least especially when you throw in good academics.
of course it's useless to take those quotes at face value.

Best scenario we can hope for:
1. Gtown does well this year (winning cures a lot) 2. Noel reclassifies to 2012 3. Fab Melo and Christmas stick around for another year (even if one leaves, they still have Coleman coming in next year so don't see how they could bring in Noel) 4. Either Drummond sticks around for another year at UConn or Calhoun retires (which he may do if Lamb and Drummond and Oriakhi leave).
Funny thing is I think at least 2 and 3 are likely to happen. And honestly, if we just win, I gotta believe we are in a very good position to land him. A shot blocker like him would really be the last piece we need wherea he's somewhat redundant on Cuse and Uconn. Combine that with the youth of our team and coach (both will be around for awhile), and it's a very good match.

If we win and do so by fully utilizing athletic and multi-skilled wings (read: Hollis, Otto, and Gregg) then we are going to be the ideal suitor for Nerlens or Troy. I think both Otto and Gregg will be around for a few years so either 2012 or 2013 would be fine.

I hope he means what he says. But we've been down this road too many times before only to see the recruit pick a school that we wouldn't consider to be strong academically. So I refuse to get excited yet. Just good to see that we are still on him.

Ty) (Syracuse)
What are the odds Syracuse lands Nerlens Noel, he'd be a great fit in the zone.
Dave Telep (12:14 PM)
Syracuse, quietly, has worked Nerlens Noel exceptionally hard. He's the prototype big man for their style so he's key. They have some players from his AAU program which never hurts and they're a factor.

There might be alot of guys sticking around this year if there is no NBA season. The league will have two recruiting classes to absorb in one season which will leave precious few spots even in training camp.

It just seems to me that Cuse will have too many players for Noel to want to go there: Melo, Keita, Christmas, and Coleman. That's 3 5 star big men. That's either a Senior Junior and sophomore when he's a freshman or a Junior sophomore and a fellow freshman depending on when he decides to enroll.

So how can a school with a mediocre record of getting big men into the Show have 3 5-stars at once when we don't have any???
