Maybe the post-Georgetown-commitment slide has already commenced! Maybe this is good news!

I legend ahead that the Hoya Saxa Nerlens decide today to join the Kentucky Wildcats and despised. Finally, he was alone on the hill for one year only and can not confirm one of the biggest men in school history. Whether Georgetown, Kentucky, or applicant for Final Four, but played in Georgetown, revealing its Big East.

Dave Telep may just be trying to up ratings for tonight, but he thinks that no staff knew yet even this morning (via twitter):
"Nerlens Noel is not a case where "behind the scenes" people know. Staffs are in the dark. As of 10:50, no one knows. Theories abound."

dmyles- I wish I had something to report. This morning I had 2 people within college circles that I have a lot of faith in tell me an hour a part that they were confident about which school Noel had decided on. They named two different schools. If it makes you feel any better, Syracuse was not one of them .

Thanks Fiarj - while landing Noel is no guarantee of success next year (See Andre Dummond at UConn this year), the conference benefits from any school signing an elite recruit.
That's why many of us were excited to see Providence land two big guard recruits for next season. We non-football schools need to stick together, watch each other's backs, stay unified, and most importantly enjoy success on the court to prepare for the inevitable split we will have from the football schools within the next few years.

I assume that recruits typically talk to each coaching staff before announcing the decision, at least as a courtesy, correct? If so, I'd imagine rumors will eventually leak out, but it has been oddly quiet so far today compared to previous days. I'm sure in a few hours it will blow up.

Could you talk more about this inevitable split from the football schools? I had no idea you felt this way. I think the thread about Noel would be an appropriate place.

Friar J- thanks for the rooting interest. Living in CT, I am loving what you have done to the Uconvicts the past few years without real talent. Cooley can coach and Ive seen Dunn in person several times- kid is a gem. Hope NN is on his way and we will have some good Big Men vs. Guard battles with you guys upcoming!!

I just want to be able to see Ricky Ledo posterize NN at the rim In all seriousness the idea that what is good for one BB only is good for all is a sentiment I would say all PC fans share. PC has a chance right now and it is a small window to reclaim NE. We will see if Cooley can pull it off. We are still involved with a few real quality bigs and nice transfers. These next two weeks should be interesting. Good luck again tonight!
