What more could Kirby or Broadus have done if they were the leads RDF? G'town made his final list and he wants to visit. Seems to me that's the best they could have hoped for. Prior to his JR year--Georgetown was leader/co-leader with Florida. You think Kirby/Broadus don't help more in this recruitment--specifically in that position entering the JR year? Broadus used to land Georgetown early commitments, Kirby has proven his ability as a recruiter too. This is a no-brainer and it's inexcusable for Brennan to be contact guy. There's even more to the story-but that can come out after Nerlens decides. But Brennan was the Hoya recruiter at the time he listed G'town so highly right? Outside of getting him to committ early(very doubtful he would have to any program) how much more could someone else have done than being listed as a co-leader of a top recruit? After he reclassified back to '12 Noel was asked in an interview "what schools were recruiting him the hardest?" he replied "the schools that STUCK around were cuse, prov, uconn, fla and G'town" I took that to mean the staff/Brennan stayed on him the entire time. If G'town wasnt listed in his final group I'd be blasting JT3 too.

Having recruits come during march is unique, but so is Noel, so you have him come no matter what. He seems like such a smart and bright kid, just wish he could tell off these handlers.

Updating my post from the Robert Upshaw thread last year - if Noel is that good, we need to fly these guys when he visits and have them say:
I’m Patrick Ewing. I graduated with a degree in 1985, I won an NCAA championship, I was the reason the NBA created the draft lottery, and I’m a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame.
I’m Alonzo Mourning. I graduated with a degree in 1992, I was a first round NBA lottery pick, and I won an NBA championship.
I’m Dikembe Mutombo. I graduated with a degree in 1991, I was a first round NBA lottery pick, and I was the honored guest of the President of the United States at a State of the Union address.
I’m Roy Hibbert. I graduated with a degree in 2008, I was a first round NBA pick.
I’m Jeff Green. I was a first round NBA lottery pick, and I'm coming back to Georgetown to earn my degree.
I'm Greg Monroe, I was a first round NBA lottery pick, and I'll probably win the NBA's most improved player award this year.
I’m Othella Harrington. I graduated with a degree in 1996, I was a first round NBA pick and I will be your position coach.
I’m John Thompson, Jr. I have a graduate degree in Education, I won an NCAA championship, I am a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame, and I changed how college basketball is played.
(in unison:) So either come to Georgetown, develop your game and make millions in a couple of years, or go make a few bucks right away at Syracuse or Kentucky.

Too bad Nerlens wasn't at either the Nova or ND games. He could have seen up close what the Hoyas are about this season. Defense!!!

Yeah, I hope that he has somehow noticed our last 2 games. They have been clear examples of why Georgetown is the best fit for him.

He was at UL for our game against them so he's definitely seen us play well this year. Hope he comes down for an official soon though

There's some info that he cut his list to 5. Somebody on Rivals says it's Kentucky, Florida, Syracuse, UConn and North Carolina. When I google it though, it looks like GTown made the final 5 and not Florida. But the info is on a Syracuse site which I refuse to pay for.

I thought those were the main schools I’m looking to take a better look into.” Noel dropped Providence and Florida from consideration, and he is hoping to visit Carolina, Connecticut and Georgetown sometime in March. As for his final decision, there is still not a clear picture.

So basically, we're in the top 4? Can't imagine UConn has a shot if they are going to miss the tourney. Still think Kentucky is probably the favorite, but we make a lot of sense for a 5 that can dribble and pass and likes to have the ball in his hands.

To add to what DallasHoya wrote, you could add the addendum that he wouldn't have to live in Kentucky if he came to DC.
