Playing well so far, drawing fouls, even got a cut below the eye already.

This has been entertaining, if nothing else. And of course, Jon still has one of the sweetest three point shots I've ever seen.

J-wall is on again right now.
It is the third quarter. J-wall is his teams leading scorer. I have only been watching for a few minutes, but i have seen Jon go for a hard nosed drive i never saw much at gtown

I just watched the entire game. With the exception of one announcer mentioning that he was a walk-on at Georgetown while Jon was on the foul line, he was ignored. Jon was 4-7 from beyond the 3 point line and 6 of 9 from field. He scored 23 points which was second highest on the team. Unfortunately, his team mates seem to ignore him also. The game was close and everyone wanted to be the hero. With a chance to take the lead, one of his team mates stepped out of bounds, another threw up an air ball. It was a comedy of errors. And there was Jon at the end standing at the 3 point line with no one on him.
An interesting stat for the year. The viper with the highest 3 point percentage shot 33%. What does Jon shoot? 54.5%.
If you go on their site, you can seen when their next game is. I think Monday evening.

Stepped out of bounds? Threw up an air ball? Sounds like a couple of his teammates from years past.

Nice, rooter. ;D
Jerry, thanks for the recap. IMO the NBA scouts look through the selfishness of DL ball to who's the real talent.

If you go on their site, you can seen when their next game is. I think Monday evening. This is exactly right. The last few minutes were so weird. I felt like I was watching some kind of D-League bad news bears. But Jon wasnt perfect. Although he had 23 points and was one of the better defenders on the floor, he had no rebounds or assists and only two steals in a very sloppy game. Strange thing is that this was the first game of the series and even though Jon's team is the higher seed (best team in league) they started on the road, but that is the only game at Austin in the whole series- strange. Another thing i learned while on the D-league web site is how much of a joke Kyle Mckelarny is. Remember when he was crying about how being white prevented him from being drafted? Well he averaged around 9 points per game this year (respectable if he was the PG) but his team won only 7!!! games all year. He should wait til he can lead a team to wins before he cries racism.

I saw Wallace play live a few weeks back (you can find my post about that game), and I agree with the analysis here. He was clearly the only guy on his team that was interested in playing basketball as opposed to a pick-up game. My hope is that some team like Houston will appreciate that the man knows how to play basketball.

For those who follow the league more than I do, any chance Jon gets picked up for a summer league team this upcoming year?

Surprised that nobody noticed "L Williams" on opposing team who had 14 and 8 boards is none other then HoyaTalk "legend" Latavious Williams.
Congrats to Jon as he and his team do what Wallace tends to do--WIN!
