Nothing to get you fired up on a game day than a little (well deserved, of course) anti=BUM venom. Love it. Hey, BUM. How's that restaurant coming along? Potato soup, baked potatoes, twice baked potatoes, scalloped potatoes, mashed potatoes, potato casserole, potato skins, potato bread............. And of course a little sweet POTATO pie to wrap up your meal.

I believe in the mojo of bashing on the BUM!!!!!!!
Keep it up, Hoya fans!! Let's whale on this unredeemable, disgusting loser all the way 'til noon tomorrow and let our hatred carry the Hoyas to victory!!
John Feinstein.....I hate you. To quote from 90's one hit wonders, Ugly Kid Joe: I hate everything about you. I hate your face. I hate your voice. I hate your clothes. I hate that you pretend to love the Patriot League while you suck up to the ACC every day. I hate your moronic golf books. I hate your family. I hate the fact that you swim "for exercise" (how's that workin' out for ya'?), and because of it, I have to have a mental image of you with your shirt off. I hate your stupid tournament. I hate that you hate Bobby Knight and John Thompson, two men who are greater than you will ever be.
I. Hate. You! BUM!!!

BUM responds: Finally to my friends from Hoya Paranoia Inc: Yes, you are RIGHT I was WRONG. Georgetown made The Big East Tournament in 2004. My memory is good but it isn’t perfect. I looked it up last night after I hosted the radio show on WFAN. Georgetown was 4-12 in the league and tied for 12th with Miami in a 14-team league and made the tournament (losing first round) on a tiebreaker. Craig Esherick was fired soon thereafter and replaced by John Thompson III. Here’s the irony of the whole thing: I made the comment about the 2004 team on the air last night in the context of complimenting Thompson for coming in and rebuilding the program and going to The Final Four three years later. I wasn’t ripping Georgetown or, as one poster put it, “lying,” about the Hoyas. I was complimenting them and had a memory block. Like I said, my memory is good, but it isn’t perfect—especially these days. So, I apologize for my mistake. I would also urge all of you to calm down for crying out loud. Will I continue to criticize Georgetown for not playing in the BB+T Classic? You bet. You want to say I’m wrong to do that, have at it. We’ll agree to disagree. I also will continue to say that John Thompson the elder killed local rivalries in DC in part because HE says he did it and in part because the evidence is right there for anyone to see. For the record: I get along fine with JT the elder these days even if we disagree on the issue of local rivalries and the BB+T. Neither of us screams or yells or calls the other a “liar,” when we talk about those subjects. I’ve known JT III since he played at Princeton and think he is a terrific coach even though I wish he would just tell his dad, “I know you didn’t play in the BB+T but I think it is the right thing to do so I’m doing it.” My guess is his dad would get over it. You Hoya fans need to do the same. tinyurl.com/ybbraqd/

Get your head out of Count Chocula's lap Fat boy. While you're at it, apologize for cutting me off and insulting me you Pockfaced slob.

KCHoya, any chance you can reference that link without actually making it a clickable hyperlink?
Fixed. It's now a tinyurl link that will not reference this place but transport those interested to PotatoLand.

And JTIII has said that he's perfectly fine playing in the BB&T if the match up is right. He said he'd play maryland int he tournament and gary said no. Honestly I bet if they let JTIII choose his opponent he'd play it. Screw that fugly piece of Edited!

I guess third time is a charm with this turd. I guess it's easy to have a memory block when you've been telling the same lie for years even in the face of correction. I will still never forgive this POS for his column on the eve of the '07 Final Four game about Esherick and how those were his guys. It was that team's moment in the sun and they earned the right to enjoy it, not have some sniveling scumbag extol the virtues of a coach fired 3 years earlier. What a shocker, Feinstein liked the crappy white coach sandwiched in between two great black ones. EDIT: For those who never got to see what BUM thought of our Final Four run... www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/03/30/AR2007033002030.htmlFrom the end of the article.... It isn't as easy for Esherick. He played at Georgetown under John Thompson Jr. and then coached under him for years before succeeding him in 1999 when the elder Thompson suddenly retired with Georgetown 0-4 in Big East play. He had been told his job was safe in March 2004 and then was fired a week later. He never will publicly admit to hard feelings, but it is impossible to believe that it is easy for him to watch his alma mater and former employer play these days.
"I'm not sure what word I would use," he said. "I am very happy for those kids that we recruited; there's no doubt about it. So to call it bittersweet would probably be too strong a word."
Regardless, it can't be easy for Esherick or Driesell, the ones who provided the two main building blocks for this March's joy ride. Maybe they will hear their names mentioned on CBS during Saturday's broadcast.
At the very least, they deserve some credit for Georgetown being here this weekend. Even if they aren't. Yeah, BUM, we get it. Esherick recruited them. Then JT3 re-recruited all of them, but there's no point in mentioning that. Much better to tell the sob story of a coach who went 4-12 in his last year and got "railroaded."

local rivalries, plural? The days of playing AU at Ft. Myer gym were great for us who were there but they ain't coming back...
Once williams departs (maybe he leaves after this season on a high note), they can flip a coin to determine who's got first home game... we can wait...
