PLEASE someone hammer Jones. Put the kid on his butt when you foul him. No Mercy.

Monroe and Vaughn with two fouls.
Thankfully we are able to keep the lead with Monroe on the bench

Happy with the score at half, but gotta make sure this doesn't turn into the Dominique show in the second half like last time. Could use some more Freeman in the second too.

Can anyone with access comment on how Austin looks? Quiet half statistically, but I was wondering about how his energy level looks. Thanks.

Good 1st half. We are really buckling down defensively, and aside from a late surge from Jones, we have really been good at contesting every shot. It also helps that they're not hitting any free throws. The lesson seems to have been learned from the Cinci game: defend and we will win with any semblance of offensive efficiency and taking care of the ball.
That was the best JV has looked in weeks. Active defensively and looks to have an added pep to his step on the offensive end. You can say the same about Benimon too.
Kudos to Wright for attacking in transition. If he can just finish in traffic with more regularity, he'd be an absolute force. His decision making has been excellent so far and this is the best I've seen out of him in awhile too.
Keys to the 2nd half: continuing to take care of the ball, rotating well in the matchup zone when we go to it, and keeping Greg out of foul trouble (an early 3rd would hurt). If we get to 65 points, these guys aren't beating us. Keep attacking and get to the line.

Two things I want to see this half. 1) If you foul Jones, foul him so hard he can't get the shot up, and 2) some point production from Freeman. If we get those two things on top of what we are are already getting I will be happy.

It was the CW show early with him taking a lot of shots. THen JC got aggressive. Austin just kinda going along. Hopefully he will get more involved next half. But he is out there playing great defense.

They have played tough D, but when JV and Greg got 2nd fouls, you could see Jones trying to take advantage. Need to shut him down. HE IS THEIR ONLY OFFENSE. Gotta get Awesome going. JC and CW looking good on O and D. Can always use HT and VS for spots on D. Lets finish this early.

My biggest concern is foul trouble, 4 guys with 2 each is not great. Hopefully, we can avoid picking any more up in the first 5 minutes and continue the low turnover play on offense. I look forward to seeing Austin get his usual offense in the 2nd half.
No TV at work, who is guarding CW? Is his aggressive play a design to make Jones work on defense?

What was that crack that Gottlieb said before they went to commercial? He kept saying "no cheering, John, no cheering". I couldn't figure out if Gottlieb was hating on Notre Dame or Georgetown.
I hate that little dillweed.
