I have just finished mine, if anyone cares to join me. Although the first half was a complete disaster at every level, congratulations to JT III for half time adjustments, Freeman for the confidence to carry this team on his back and the hustle of Wright, Vaughn and Thompson throughout the 2nd half. This is not last year's team. One serious question: is Sims still on this team? I heard a Hoya fan at the sports bar saying that he transferred. Hope it's not true.

No humble pie needed. The team played as bad a first half as they did all season. They turned it around and played as good a 20 minutes as they did all year. I'm proud of this team because there's no way we could've done this last season.

i hope its not true either altho someone on the board hinted at it when nikita transferred. the glaring problem we have long-term is depth. iii needs to figure out a better recruiting strategy. i hope henry stays and i hope people stop bashing him on this board. of course its worth mentioning mcclain and latavious at this point.

I kind of disagree.
Hollis played great minutes. So did Jerelle. Come to think of it, we only played seven, huh? Carry on....lol

Yes, I thought at times in the first half it looked almost like the Hoyas gave up, as UCon seemed to be doing whatever they wanted. Poor effort. I suggested on the chatroom that JTIII give them a tongue lashing at halftime. I was still optimistic, because I thought GU could come back. Voila, that is what happened.

Henry was on the bench. Bad match-up for him today and Benimon played well.

I think you can add Greg to the list, he hustled on D, did some banging on the boards, and was also a big part of this incredible comeback. And Austin was a man-child, he has been getting better all season.

And that's why nothing that was said at halftime was wrong. What happened in the first half was not an execution problem. It was an effort problem, and you should ALWAYS give effort.

That's right the effort is what was puzzling in the first half. Whatever JTIII did at half time, fantastic job.

I want to know WHO said WHAT during half time. Was i Coach? Chris Wright? WHo?
Somebody clearly said something because that was a different team in the second half. They were embarrassed in their own house in the first half, but kicked UCONN butt for our 4th straight win over Jimmy C's boys.
I bet we get two more recruits this year who will be better than Roscoe.

I may criticize their play, but I realize that these fellas are just kids. Very proud of their comeback today. But I'm more proud that they're good representatives of their families and the University.

You are hysterical. Latavious Williams DID NOT WANT TO BE IN AN ACADEMIC SETTING. Yeah, I wish we had a player that wasn't going to do work in the classroom... that would really help our depth issue. Here is "Biggie" McClain's stat line so far this year... his THIRD year: 5.1 MPG, 1.1 PPG, 1.9 RPG. WOW... if only we had BIGGIE!!!!! Your refusal to accept some semblance of reality is disturbing to me.

SLEEPY you have to be kidding me. Henry didnt play today cause hes not good enough to be on the court. Im so sick of you making excuses for this kid. At his curent rate of development he cannot contribute on the floor. His minutes have steadly decreased because 2 frosh are better than him in hollis and benemon. Its not matchups. But you can keep thinking that. If he is a playmaker he would be on the court period. Great win but please theres nothing to discuss regarding henry....

Your refusal to accept some semblance of reality is disturbing to me. i have faith that staff would have imparted onto mcclain just a smidge of what they did for hibbert. but that notwithstanding, mcclain loved georgetown and would not have transferred (he stayed at cinny without getting minutes). i think a 7-foot senior would have been of good value to this team if only for rebounding and defense and giving us some depth. consider late game defense needs if greg/julian are sitting on 4 fouls, it would be nice to have a 7-footer sub in who would not be afraid to contest a basket. as for latavious, clearly he would not have made it to the hilltop. but i feel now, as i did then, it was important to turn the tide in our recruiting. as mci has finally acknowledged its been a while and by having a highly touted player show a vote of confidence in our program would be helpful in countering the bad mouthing we are geting from other programs (think acc). thats all.

Great win but please theres nothing to discuss regarding henry.... So please let that be your last post about him Rich. As stated by others in prior posts your obsession with HS has gotten very tiresome and redundant.
