lazy passes on offense. not getting back on defense. just stand around, chuck up a 3, then stand around some more while a guy in a blue uni flys in for a layup or spots up for a wide open 3. the worst thing is that monroe is the laziest of the bunch.

They are pretty lazy...i was estimating based on several possessions against a man to man defense, we are averaging 2 picks TOTAL and none of those picks were away from the ball.
Pretty bad. Just a middling team. Nothing more.

I've been trying to determine if this team is lazy also, or is it that the players have mild-mannered and laid-back personalities. You know how the saying goes... players take on the personalities of their coaches. Does JT3 just recruit players with similar personalities to his. If you look at all the players he has recruited, even going back to the Final Four team -- they all fit this description.

Terrible job by the ingame posters. "LAZY" ... when you play Div. I basketball in January during a school year then offer your assessment. "Lazy" is subjectivity. Stick to the objective.

This thread certainly looks stupid in retrospect.

This thread certainly looks stupid in retrospect. Yes, yes it does. I'd love to see the Hoyas bring that second half intensity for the full 40 minutes, though.

I have felt this way for a while, we give up too many easy baskets. You can't play in spurts.

This thread isn't stupid. The team played a lazy first half. UConn has six dunks in the first 10 minutes. So the holy rollers of this board need to pump their brakes.
That being said, I'm 110 percent proud of how we played in the second half. This was a great great win.

I'm glad daytona approved of the win.
That makes it legit.
The problem with both this thread and the Monroe thread is that the original posts were stated in terms of absolutes, and not directed at the play in the first half.
The team is lazy and Monroe has been exposed.
If I was the benevolant dictator of this board, I would put these two in the penalty box for a week.

It sucks that Monroe is awful and the whole team is lazy. We'll probably never beat a ranked team this year.... Oh wait, we've beaten four of them, and have yet to lose a game by more than 4 points. Maybe we'll be ok. (rolling eyes)

not getting back on defense repeatedly is lazy. watching a team run by you for layup after layup is lazy. it shouldn't take a 19 pt deficit for this team to wake up and play hard.

The problem with both this thread and the Monroe thread is that the original posts were stated in terms of absolutes, and not directed at the play in the first half. Agreed. The team's execution and effort were sorely lacking in the first half. Thankfully, they got their act back together and started playing the way they should. Absolute judgments based on one half, or one game are ridiculous (both ways)

In the first half we shot less than 30%..... uconn's game is strong rebounding and speed. once GU hit some shots (Austin)..uconn couldn't run..... it is not lazy... They were hustling......

We'll see next year what effect he has on the team, even if he's not a starter.

Classy now equals mild-mannered and lazy? Puhleeze. These kids don't get to be this good by being meek and mild and not wanting to win every time out. Maybe if we could get our guys to steal some stuff and go on ac-pro or get a job at a steel mill and showboat and beat their chests constantly you'd think they wanna win more. This is ridiculous.

After watching the 2nd half I think JT3 should turn the players loose and let them play at a faster pace. They looked like a completly diferent team and a better team when they played ran more in the 2nd half.

I'm glad daytona approved of the win. That makes it legit. Obviously. Thank you, Daytona, for making sure this win is legit. Because otherwise we would have all counted it as a loss. You know SO MUCH about college basketball!!!!

Just so we're all clear. A lazy team wouldn't bother coming back in the second half.
