We'll know what we have by the end of January. If things are going to come together for the team, that's usually when it takes place. What shall we discuss between now and then?

I love the attitude that it's outrageous to convey any negative thoughts about players, team, system, etc after 3 games. I mean why even watch the games, I might as well take in Grey's Anatomy and Dancing with the Stars and tune back in when January arrives.
I guarantee if I were to say that Jason Clark is much improved, his shot and handle are drastically better than last year (which I do believe) that is certainly acceptable after just 3 games but to feel a player has made no advancements, well thats absurd to some (guru).
To be clear, that does not mean that I don't feel we will have even a better read on this team 4 weeks from now then we do now, but for people to say that making positive and negative judgement on certains areas of this team is impossible at this time, is just wrong.
Also for the most part, those of us being critical at this time are not passing this opinion based off just these 3 games but from the continuing struggles we saw from the 2nd half of last season.
For the record, I am very happy with us getting Monroe more involved and his desire to want to take over games, presonally I think Clark is now the best player on this team outside of Monroe and is improvement as a player has been very evident, I like what I have already seen from H. Thompson in just a short time and can see his a good fit for this system, those are positives among other things.
However, I don't believe Wright has done anything to convince me he is the right PG for this team, I believe the system still doesn't always take advantage of the specific talents of this roster, Simms looks like the same player to me at this point and lost and unsure in this offense, etc
Of course the positive feedback is rational and fair and the negative portion should be kept to myself.

It is obvious that despite his athleticism, he has not shown much in practice( or in games) or he would be getting more PT. We sure do need more rebounding but he hasn't delivered. Our lack of interior rebounding and defense will be our biggest weakness in the BE No, actually none of what you've said is obvious. And never start an argument with "it is obvious" when it relies on things that no one can verify, like what goes on in practice. In games for two years now he has gotten 2-4 rebounds in sparse minutes. If he played 30 min he would average 6-10+ per game. How that is "not delivering" rebounds I'm not sure. Of course he is green and has lots of flaws, so what. He is more productive than both Vaughan and Hollis minute for minute. Sims was projected as a starter in major magazines, but his butt has been so deep on the bench we need the FBI to find him. My hypotheses, having watched this complete dogging of Henry Sims go on for two years now is that a) there is some attribute of the game that JTIII thinks other guys (Hollis, Vaughan) are better at, he uses that attribute as the barometer for who plays rather than their overall game. It is blocking out in his mind all the things Henry does well. If there is anything that is obvious, it is that Sims pulls down rebounds without fail simply by virtue of his height and athleticism. He has also made some nice passes and displayed good vision, I am thinking of the Duke game. Monroe also loves it when he's in there. Does JTIII recognize these postiives? b) somebody is telling Sims to shoot the three, and that person needs to go back to Sims and retract that advice ASAP. I can't believe that he would jack up so many threes last year of his own boldness. Does anybody seriously think a freshman walks into Georgetown at 6'10 and just starts heisting threes cause he feels like it? I would guess that somebody told him that the Princeton theoretically would like to have a big guy shoot threes, and since we have Monroe inside right now why not try to be that guy? How asinine this advice would be, to try to force a green player into a mold that doesn't fit, especially since operating in the post is the first and foremost thing he as a 6'10 big man has to work on. c) Henry doesn't know what he is doing wrong/not doing, because he is definitely smart enough that if he knew he would fix it. They need to go to him and explain why he is riding pine. Or he needs to ask them what he can do on the straight up tip. Either way better communication needs to take place. FREE HENRY SIMS. (Chris Cooper in A Time to Kill voice) You turn him loose! Turn him loose!
