I was late getting to KL so I only saw the last game...
I thought Benimon looked ok. He does not have the ideal height to play his position, but does have the width. The issue I see with him is being able to finish in traffic if he does not get an open layup. He doesnt really play above the rim so he may have trouble. But he hustles, he will throw his body around, and he "seems" like he is just happy to be out there. In other words, i dont think he will be the type to complain about pt b/c he seems to be a bit more realistic than others. Otherwise, I like the hustle out of him and I could see him getting some spot minutes while he gets more comfortable with the system.
Austin looked good. He did not look that into the game. I noticed he had some family/friends there and he was giving out dap before, halftime, and after the game. No problem with that. Its only summer league! A couple of times he and hollis were matched up on each other, well hollis was matched up on him. Austin made a great move on the right wing to get into the lane for a step back pull up over hollis' outstretched arm. I thought that was one of his best moves of the night. I have faith Austin will be a big piece to what we are doing and I think he understands that. He also had a light skin pg on his team that was pretty good and they worked very well together. That was the total opposite on the other side...
Hollis team just looked flatout terrible. I think they have the worst team in the league. They have a bunch of guards that shoot first, ask questions third b/c they may be able to find a/n shot second. Kellycpcm mentioned that he got blasted for saying hollis looked for his shot too much, but then looking at the stats he was 1-5. That is wholly inconsistent. If a guy only takes 5 shots, I cant agree with the notion he was shot hunting. In any event, I am not hollis, but I have played college ball and I kno what it is like to play with guys that hunt for their shot and seem to only pass to their boys. It is frustrating. He seemed frustrated as they missed him on layups, lobs, jumpers. I been there. Btw, who were # 15 and #35 on that team? Between those two guys, Id say 30 shots were taken.
Looking forward to seeing Greg tonight since i missed him last night.

Dante Taylor played pretty well last night and rebounded well. I was really hoping that Blair's frosh replacement was going to be garbage.. but oh well. and ps that light skinned pg was kenny tate's brother... i dont remember his name though.

It occurred to me--how much you want to bet the owner of that car is somehow also affiliated with Georgetown. It's probably their other two siblings who went to the Philly area and Magnitogorsk for college, and their younger bro is probably headed to Boston College next year. Syracuse = Magnitogorsk hahahahahahahaha perfect
