In Jeff Goodman's column today regarding the decision of Latavious Williams to "spurn" Memphis for a decision to take his game overseas, he also mentioned an addition to the GU Basketball Staff that has really gone unreported so far (honestly, I cannot find a single mention of it anywhere:

From what limited resources I can find on the internet, Darryl was a high school all-star from the DC Metro area who wanted to enroll at Georgetown (and signed a letter of intent to do so), and was one of Pops' prized recruits for the 1985/86 season. However, as SI and other places point out, he was not admitted to Georgetown (for reasons never given). Links include:

He eventually went to West Virginia, where he became a 4 year starter, averaging just about 11 and 7 for his career. According to his GU biography (I'll get to that in a second):
From there, he apparently played 11 years on the international basketball circuit, and then, at some point, got back into coaching/basketball administration.
From what I can tell, he was hired in the 2005-2006 academic year as part of the basketball administrative office in McDonough. You can see his biography here, on page 13:

He seemed to serve 2 years at GU, from 2005-October 2007, when he was hired as an assistant coach under Todd Bozeman at Morgan State:

And now, according to Jeff Goodman, after serving for 2 years as Bozeman's assistant and recruiting coordinator for the DC area, he's now returning to the Hilltop as a member of the GU Coaching staff.
My questions are thus:
1) Is he merely another addition to the coaching staff, or is he replacing someone?
2) Why has this not been released by McDonough? Are they waiting for something else to happen?
If anyone can elucidate more for the Board on anything they know about Mr. Prue or the situation, I'm sure it would be appreciated. Mods, I don't know if this is going to trigger a thread close, given that we have yet to receive official confirmation from McDonough, but I figured it was worth a shot, given that I'm not speculating on the departure of someone on the team.

"Morgan State – Assistant coach Darryl Prue left to take a spot at Georgetown and was replaced by Keith Goodie.

He was honored as the Co-Rookie of the Year in the Atlantic 10 as a freshman, received Second-Team All- League honors his sophomore year and First-Team recognition his last two years. Prue was named an Honorable Mention All-American his junior year."
