New guy who we have supposedly offered after his decommitment from Kansas St. 6'8 210 Combo forward, who is ranked 68 on Scout and will be ranked in the top 100 in the next Rivals according to the site

No way...You mean to tell me that kids decommit from schools other than G'Town?! Hmm, I wonder if kids also transfer out of other programs too?! This crazy world we live in!!
On a serious note, Im sure he doesnt have an offer being that we are this early and in pursuit of some of our stated and obvious top targets. He may be a legit backup plan to go after in the event we fall short of landing any of the prize guys...

And K State also lost Michael Beasley after only one season, and, and, then their coach left. Woe is K State.

No considering most people think he doesn't actually have a real offer and the fact that he's looking bad academically....

I really am getting the feeling that the staff really wants this kid,,and if Kendrick goes elsewhere, they will take Mitchell over Roscoe Smith. I think the staff wants physical guys who have skills to play multiple positions rather than finesse guys.

I get the sense Mitchell is a priority also. From Rivals:
"Former Kansas State commitment Tony Mitchell established himself as a promising four-star prospect at the King City Classic earlier in July. This week in Vegas, Mitchell has taken his game to an even higher level.
There are similarities between Mitchell and Perry Jones. Both are elite athletes with size and talented but raw skill games. They both have helped their stocks tremendously in Vegas. Jones has gone from borderline elite prospect to potential No. 1 prospect. Mitchell has established himself as a five-star prospect and bona fide NBA prospect.
At 6-foot-7 and with a live body, Mitchell is a legitimate small forward with an explosive first step. He is a developing three-point shooter who also has a post up game. And on the glass, he can rebound with the best of them.
Head coaches from Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Georgetown and Cincinnati were courtside for his game."

Rivals reports that Mitchell has Hoyas in this top 3:
"After having a tremendous month of July, Tony Mitchell named Arizona State, Georgetown and Kansas State as the three schools recruiting him the hardest. He plans to officially visit all three. More visits might be in order as he plans to wait until the spring to sign."

NBADraft.net on Mitchell's play:
"Tony Mitchell (Living Faith Christian/Grand Prairie,TX) was the only other U.S. Midwest player (Barnes) in double figures today. He is an athletic and long player who oozes with potential but is extremely raw. He has a pro frame and athleticism. Under the right tutelage he can be a prototypical 3 man at the highest level."

Long and short is that GU is still in the mix along with 5 others, and K State is not one of those 5.
